Title: Organizing custom content?
Post by: Xtian913 on February 07, 2008, 12:41:09 pm
Hello everyone!

So recently I got my sister hooked on The Sims 2 and showed her how to downloaded custom content. She went on a downloading spree here on InSim & a few other sites and added some great stuff. However, I forgot to ask her to keep the files organized into the subfolders I had been creating for all the CC.

Is there any way to organize the CC now that it's all just thrown into the main Downloads folder? I remember back in the The Sims 1 days you could easily tell what was wallpaper, floor, mesh, etc... but now everything is in Packages and I have no way knowing what anything is. Is there an auto-sort type of program out there somewhere?

Just curious! Thanks! :)

( PS: I originally posted this in the 'Sims 2 General' area and I couldn't figure out how to delete it... Sorry! )

Use Clean Installer to look at your downloads. You should be able to see what most of the them are (wall, clothes etc)

Either the clean installer or a great tool to organize cc is Delphy's Download organizer that you can find at the MTS2 site.

You can scan them by type, move files in other folders, scan for duplicates and orphans, and many many other things.  A must program if you have a lot of downloads.

Thanks guys! :) I looked at them both quickly, and they look great, especially Delphy's program. Can't wait to try it out tonight.
