106  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: Help- Apartment refusing to be an apartment! on: January 07, 2009, 08:27:16 pm
Oh wow. A beach apartment. Didn't know it could be done properly. Maybe that's why you're having issues?

But like the previous user said, your door is backwards.

The comic is a cute idea. I've thought of doing a comic myself in the past. I like how you've presented it. It's well done.

It's okay, Adreyn. Looks like I'll have to make the top untuckable myself. I'll send you a copy.

Do you have more than eight sims living on a lot?

111  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Quetion regarding Alphas on: November 26, 2008, 10:36:58 pm
A recolor consists of two parts: textures and alphas. So Alphas are a part of a recoloring.

Unless Marvine specifically stated not to do any alpha edits, then you're not breaching her policy.

would I be allowed to submit the clothing to this and other sites? I know I have to give a link to the mesh here and credit to Marvine.

Yes, that's part of Marvine's policy. No paysites though. It's in the READ ME file.
112  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Outfit Waist Gap on: November 26, 2008, 10:31:18 pm
Adreyn, I think it's the top. Though I have noticed that the bottoms are cut lower on the waist than the other separates I have. So, It's probably mesh-related.

Also, could you post a link to these untuckable tops? lol

Either that might explain the gap, you can also edit that with SimPe.

I've tried searching for other tops, and none so up.

You mentioned editing it with SimPE? How can I go about doing that?

Thanks for your response

In Bodyshop, I noticed that all the separates for the SlimBB have a nasty waist gap. I've tried updating the SlimBB mesh files, and even opening bodyshop with only these files, and still the error.

Is there any way around this issue?

117  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / CAS screen crash on: November 17, 2008, 09:21:47 pm
That, too. I try not extract sims unless I have to. But then I always copy the extracted sim, and delete the old one.

-Do you have any default skintones? You may have more than one for a skintone.

-Also, did you make any new sims in bodyshop and delete the groups.cache file before loading the game? That also causes a crash. If you need to delete the cache file (because the game won't load, it's too big, corrupted, etc...) you need to enter bodyshop again, and copy your new sims so that the game can generate a new one. This only applies to when you have just created a sim and need to open the sim bin for the first time with them. After that, you can freely delete the cache file without replacing it.

Thank you JasonDuskey. I love your sci-fi stuff.

I've seen Paladin's dueling swords, that was actually one of the inspirations for these objects. Unfortunately, BHAVs aren't my strong suit and this is a very complex object involving a decorative object .package, an accesory .package, and a social object. I tried to reverse engineer it about 6 months ago, but... forget about it. At this point, it's too complex for me.

You could try simply replacing the sword mesh Paladin uses with your weapons. And use your current animations as idle/transitional animations. I've created BHAVs before, so I could help you out.
