Title: High tide on my beaches
Post by: Burstangeljo on May 12, 2007, 01:57:34 am
Lately I have been having a problem with what appears to be a "high-tide" affect on my beaches.   I am trying to make a beach resort neighborhood, but depending on my camera angle, the water will go up or down on the beach.  Once I enter the lot, it looks okay.  But it doesn't look very good from the neighborhood view.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  I have a camera mod.  Could this be affecting it?
Thanks...

I`ve noticed too that pressing Tab for free cam makes the water go slightly down, but I think we can do nothing about it. Though my beach lots look ok in N-hood view... is your neighborhood maxis or downloaded? I have the Toppenlo island from MTS2, which is very low and it works ok, I mean the change is very small.

I have this problem since installing pets and seasons... no clue what to do with it as if yet.

I have tried both maxis and downloaded neighborhoods.  Several different ones.  I have "temporarily" solved the problem by adding "dirt" along the beaches in the neighborhood view. Another thing I am realizing is that when I choose to make the neighborhood terrain dirt or cement, it still appears to be grass from neighborhood view.  Any thoughts on this.  When I had the program for the mac sid of my computer, I did not have this issue.  But since I have partitioned my drive and now have the programs in pc format (they run much, much, much, much faster) I can't get my neighborhood view to look any other way.
