I have never had a lot changing problem before.  I started one lot as a community lot and then I realized it was starting to take shape as an apartment lot.  I changed the lot to residential but the mailbox never showed up.  

The lot has 4 apartments, each has there own main door.  They all have one balcony as well.  

Is there a quick fix for this?  I can't think of what I did differently other than starting out with a community lot.  Do I need to redo the whole thing from scratch on a residential lot?

When I changed the zoning from residential to apartment it said something wasn't right.  So I went in and deleted the balcony doors.  The program still said something wasn't right.  Since the mailbox never showed up when changing to residential and thus the apartment mailbox never showed up when changing to apartment, could that be the only reason why it doesn't want to change to apartment?

if i delete the cache file, will that reset everything, even the neighborhoods?

I have all the patches and I don't used CC.  This happens on every lot in every neighborhood.

I don't remember if this happened when i installed BV or FT but at some point the robotics workstation became unselectable.  I can select it from the "buy objects" and have a sim buy it, but none of my sims can use it.  Once the workstation is on the property, and I put the arrow on it so that a sim can use it, the arrow turns grey.  

I asked this question before and someone said to get into the Sim 2 file and delete a couple folders that would regenerate themselves once I started the game up again. It didn't help though.  The person said that deleting those files would work the same as uninstalling and re-installing the whole game but not nearly as time consuming.  Since deleting those files didn't work, will I have to uninstall and re-install all the disks?

If anyone has any other recommendations that would be great.

ooooh, wow, I didn't even notice that there was a new Insimenator.  It took awhile for the FT Insimenator to be posted, I just figured that the folks here where still under a tight schedule or something.  Thanks everyone!

Sorry I didn't quite know how to title this thread.

I got my first Insimenator hack (do i call it a hack?) right before the Seasons expansion came out.  Because the hack wasn't made for Seasons, some actions I could not do unless I took the file out of the downloads folder.  Then once I got the download for Seasons and BV came out, some BV actions didn't work.  Then I got the one for BV and when FT came out, some of those actions didn't work (like looking for bugs).  

What I want to know is, if I leave the Insimenator file in the downloads folder, what actions am I disabling disrupting me from experiencing the full Apartment Life experience?  I don't like playing without the Insimenator hack, but if I am missing out on something fun, then I'll take it out.
