Post by: simpleprincess on June 22, 2009, 02:38:43 am I lost my CD I foolishly tried to contact EA support but my messages has gone unacknowledged with not even an auto reply to say the have my message. so I thought id ask here? Do I need to pay out whole other 30 pounds again for this game? or can I get a replacement cd? I already have it on my computer and dont se why I should have to shell out more money to play a game I already have.

And, there is a safer way to play Sims 3 without the CD if you go over to MATY and take a look at Pescado's mod called awesome mod. So far, I've been playing without the CD and not having issues with it.
It's an alternative until you contact EA Support and actually get someone there to talk to. Title: Re: What can I do? I thought I read a tutorial on how to bypass the launcher without the C.D. somewhere, but I can't think where I seen it. I know you can play the game without the C.D. on TS2, but I haven't figured out how to yet. I hope someone can help you.

Pescado's awesome mod, along with the configuration file you create from the online tool he provided in the same thread, has a feature to allow you to run Sims 3 without a DVD or CD. Granted that you already have Sims 3 installed. If you're missing the CD to start up the game with, then this is what Pescado's awesome mod does - enable you to run the game without the CD/DVD. |
