Title: Disabled Sims
Post by: MixdCrysy on November 25, 2007, 10:38:33 pm
I have been working on a bodyshape series, untitled at the moment. It is about disabled sims.

2 months ago:
On insimenator.net, bloodraynesim requested some charactors from the game, Bloodrayne. I saw a few interesting charactors, but 2 popped out at me... The Dopelganger Twins.

It seemed so interesting to do, as I have never seen disabled sims. So I started to look into see if it had to be done before. I found this  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=31235&highlight=handicap: . Its a peg leg sim, made by blooM. after some freindly advice by blooM, I set off to try to make a disabled sim. I first decided to use a maxis mesh as the base for testing. I needed to see how the game recognizes disabled sims, so I started with a top only mesh.

After made this mesh, I tested in game. I even have video

The game still recognizes the arm, regardless if its the left or the right. They will still cook and eat and seem to be just as apealing to other sims as before. So then I started with, what I thought at the time would be a mesh for the charactors.

After making the fat morphs for this full body mesh, I decided not to use it. I felt that it didnt reflect the charactor, so I started searching for a mesh that looked the same. After 2 weeks of nothing, I found a post by Dano at Insimenator here http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=57201. I then asked how it was possible and he kindly informed me how to do it this.

So then I started to make Body Builder (original work by Marvine & BeosBoxboy). I hit a few walls (head on witout a helmet as you can see in this thread http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=53859)but I eventually got a mesh I loved.

So I liked it so much, I uploaded it as a separate mesh.

I then started the surgery... this proved to be easier siad thatn done. Finally, after a few explosions, I got it right.

After a couple days, I finished the textures.

This is now...
I have working on a Bodyshape series for disabled sims. I feel like I want different sims, just as different as the beautiful bodyshapes other creators make and mod. I dont know if anyone will like them, but if I can just make one person happy with this series, I will be happy. I currently have 8 meshes for it at the moment, and I am working very hard to make nude with a 'shower proof" skintone. I will not be uploading the nude here, it will most likey be at the Adult Insim site becuase I do not want children to be able to have access to that.

Here is a sneek peak :

I will be posting as a series so once I finish some base game meshes & the nude I will post them.

I have taken a break from this to clear my head, the nude is giving me a hard time, and I figure that once I relax, it will come to me. In the meantime, I will be doing some other mesh combos.

These are looking good. What a great idea. I tried to make a "prosthetic" skintone that didn't work out too well, so I look forward to these coming out.
