Title: a real big problem

hi.i have a terrible problem.i created downloads folder and copy all of my downloads in it , when i play sims 2 and i want to make a sim , the pictures of my cloths don't appear , and instead there is just one same picture for all my cloths but i can still choose the cloths and cloths will appear .but it's really hard to choose cloths without their pictures .EVERYBODY PLEASE HELP.

(since I couldn' find the help thread that I know is somewhere around here)

Name the folder Downloads (capital D, s in the end)
Enable downloads ingame (the blue screen popping up first)
restart the game
and then the stuff should be there.

If things are still not there, then you probably forgot to download some meshes...
Or you don't have one of the EP(s) that enables the downloads folder for clothing, hairs and accessories. If not, then try putting the recolors in the Savedsims folder, and the meshes in the Downloads folder.

After checking what is suggested above, if the problem with the pictures of items continues, then do this:

Go to My Documents--EA Games--The Sims 2 folder.

Open up the Thumbnails folder there, and delete everything inside that folder (but don't delete the Thumbnails folder itself).

This will force the game to generate all new thumbnails for the clothing (and all other items), which, the first time you go to the catalog to choose Buy or Build items, will make things run a bit slower than usual.

After the new thumbnails have been generated, that extra bit of slowness will disappear.
