where can i find a mod to be able to hold your baby or toddler while you are sitting?
if someone can find one it would be greatly appreciated. or even if you could make it?

There is no such mod.  That picture was created using photoshop piecing together different pictures of the woman.

that's not true. it's entirely ingame. It's a mix of a pose box (the overlay pose boxes - there are at least two at MTS2), and feeding the baby.

Put the baby and the bottle on the floor, pose the mom in a sitting pose, and make her feed the baby - and she'll pop into a sitting position while feeding the baby.

actually this is possible. I already made a mod to do that, but it only makes the Sim sit to feed the baby a bottle. The parent will never just sit with the baby in arms for the fun of it. It is not out for the public yet, but stay tuned!

If you want to try it out, I have attached it. But this is not the final version and is missing documentation. It does work fine, but I still want to add a few things. here is a little info though:
Prevents Sims from magically getting a bottle to feed babies or toddlers when the refrigerator is empty. Allow a Sim to sit while feeding a bottle to a baby.  Sims only do it if their comfort motive is at or below 50%.  At above 50% comfort, they will instead feed the baby while standing, but first move away from the fridge after getting the bottle so that they don't block other Sims from using the fridge. (you can change that in the CONFIG file to make them always sit though if you want)

Change the option 0x1 "move style (0 = few tiles away, 1 = sit, 2 = either)".
Right now it is 2. You can change it to 1 and then they alway sit.

could you  conbine this with the breadfeeding mod? with permisson of course

That's a wonderful idea carlymichelle nice thinking, but I think Squinge would have some say so in that matter as he is the creator of the breast feeding mod ;)

both mods work fine in my game seprate   but id like the sims to be able to sit down and breastfeed too

I haven't put the mod by nobody in my game yet because I want to know exactly how to make my mothers sit to feed the babies before putting it in with Squinges mod but I doubt they will conflict

sorry i meant both work fine together  and i changed  the sitting in sim PE my sims sit all the time now   

Yes you do edit in SimPE, this file df_baby_toddler_food_and_feeding_fixes_CONFIG.package

you can even run SimPE like this:  SimPe.exe -enable localmode
If you add that to end of the shortcut " -enable localmode" it will only take around 90megs of memory and start up super fast.  Just edit that first "BCON" file.

I have it set to number 2 by default, just change it to 1 and then the Sim will alway sit to feed the baby.

I've never tried that breastfeeding mod, but I think Squinge will need to add a "sit" feature to it himself. Maybe you can ask on his request forum. You can even point him to this thread and tell him he has my permission to "steal" my code to make mom's sit to breastfeed.

My SimPE is refusing to open since I last upgraded it so I cannot change the configuration of the mod on my own, so if at all  possible do you think that you could change the mod so that it will already be made possible for the mothers to sit at will to feed the infants? that would really mean alot to me if you could because I have no way of doing it on my own and I would really appreciate it if someone could take the time for me and others whom cant use or rather don't have SimPE to do it on their own. thanks for reading and to the kind soul that helps me out :D

I just wanted to make sure how this mod works, is there a readme that comes with it because I can't download the mod on this computer because I am away from home atm. so what do you do with this mod, do you just click on the baby and there will be an option to sit to feed baby or?

you just get the bottle out of the fridge as normal and then the sim sits down with the baby  both mum and dad and teens can do it

Yes, everything like changing the bits of the code within a mod, is done in SimPE.

Ya know, WinRAR IS a free program. Just Google it. It also handles a variety of other formats, like zip and such. But, in the interests of helping, I will do it this once, hopefully nobody7382 and Squinge won't string me up for it...

How do I change the option 0x1 to sit in SimPE since I'm a newbie at learning 2 create mods because I have SimPE and I just don't know how half of this program works :confused:

Hey Blansive, you can just download the zip file that Paden uploaded (it already has the config file setup to force all Sims to sit always). But if you really want to modify the file on your own, SimPE should be easy to figure out.  I'm sure there are tutorials on how to edit bcon files somewhere, but it is very simple.

If the mod works fine, can you make it available in the Mods & Careers section for others to enjoy? Both files can get lost in here.  :D

The mod posted here is not finished. Soon I'll have a completed version done that has many more features. The mod was mainly created to prevent Sims from getting bottles out of an empty fridge. It was only by accident, while messing around with the coding, that I ended up making a Sim sit to feed the baby. It was really surprising because I didn't think that was even possible. I'm glad everyone seems to like it though.

well - I've tested it, and my sims still stand while feeding the baby - even if motives are lower than 50%...
