Title: remembering Pearl Harbor Post by: HylianWolf on December 07, 2010, 07:05:24 am as of 4 hours ago my time (GMT-8, PST), it turned into December 7th. being right now 4am, i thought i would decide to post a little something to remember the event that took place 69 years ago in sunny Hawaii on that fateful morning. let us take a minute or two to remember that today marks the point where the US entered WWII thanks to the Japanese. I will be later watching the movie Pearl Harbor in my own little honoring of today. that is all

Title: Re: remembering Pearl Harbor Post by: Paden on December 07, 2010, 12:30:44 pm While I remember the day and honour the fallen, I also remember what my dad said, "I hope to GOD this doesn't become another bout of 'Remember the Alamo' because nuts of all kinds could use it to do damn near anything to justify what they do." And before you come down on the man, he was in World War II and based in Okinawa, if that gives you a clue as to how patriotic he was.
On a different note, could people please keep in mind proper use of capital letters and punctuation marks? It makes it easier for our ESL members to decipher when things are clearly marked and communication becomes easier as a result. |
