Let's see...no ripples on water, no fish in fishtanks and ponds, flashing pools if you use the supposed fix "use shaders" and no snow transparency when you mouse over thick snow...??  If you answer yes to all of those - welcome to my world.  Its your graphics card.  Mine is also rather new and supposedly compatible with the game...its not. I've emailed EA to include a fix in their patches, but no such luck.  Oh well.

Thanks everyone, this is my first upload to the site so I'm kinda nervous!

My version of Lara Croft's base outfit for Legend!  Lara not included by the way.  If anyone wants her maybe Ill upload, but for now its just the outfit.

This was created purely with game content and uses a Maxis/Ea made mesh.  

Then the catches:
* I assume you need the UNI EP.  The mesh is one of the teen->adult converted outfits that EA did when they made UNI.
* So even if you have UNI installed it still might only show up as a YA outfit.  Im not sure.  Im using a hack that makes YA outfits available for adults.

The file you're downloading contains a '.package' file for your downloads/saved sims folder, as well as some images to help you identify what exactly it is if you like to keep your downloads/saved sims folder categorized like I do.

I get the penguin rather often...a few visits during winter, almost daily, sometimes twice or thrice() a day
It never pees though.

I usually just pet it because its so cute and take a fish out of the inventory for it to swallow.  Then it waddles off again.  Maybe it comes back so often because I always feed it!!

It started coming round in 'fall' (Autumn) now too.

Even when I've got the juicer stocked to the max with fruit I can't get the option to serve juice!

I know you need 6 times more of the ingredients for the juice, but the option is still missing.  I filled the whole juicer with apples to test this, (and hopefully get juice to homework-doing kids) but its the same thing!
I've barely got any hacks, and no food-related ones either..

As everyone with a Nvidia graphics card probably know by now there are some issues with shaders in the game, resulting in fish-less fishtanks, fish-less ponds and the inablity to see through snow (when mousing over with the cursor)..
(I know the fish are technically there but whats the point if you can't see them?)

Id love to know if there is a graphics update/patch available for our graphics cards that fix this?  At the moment you have to use the "boolprop useshaders true" code..one of my many peeves... using that code slows the game down to an unplayable level...so whats the point??

And by the way: what did EA/Maxis do to "kill" the fish?  It always worked fine, right through Uni & Nightlife.  Im pretty sure OFB or FFS were the first EPs to have this problem.

Is everyone else just living with this, not annoyed by it, or does anyone have some advice/possible fix?

The outfit is still not correct though...needs a vest & "socks", and the top needs to be shorter, but Im gonna keep at it.  Maybe upload her later..
When I get Seasons she can go into the "Adventure" career.

You could try:

1) Using SimPE, and it's "Sim Surgery" option to replace the look of the 'beast' sim with the pre-created 'prince' sim...it's been a while since I did that, so i can't remember exactly what you have to click to get there, but its pretty straight forward and easy-

2)  If you have University you could use the plastic surgery machine to modify the facial structure (or the InSim FaceLift - but you still need Uni for this) of the beast..then go through the process of updating the genetics of the changed sim too to prevent 'beast'-kids.

I think your best bet would be SimPE, its quick & easy, and it sounds like you already have a prince sim.  There are tutorials on that - otherwise Im sure someone will post the (short & easy) process here..

Otherwise: buy a lot of expensive stuff and set fire to it.

...or you could use SimPE to alter the relationships, otherwise if you enable testing cheats you can literally *drag* the relationship bars to where you want them to be.

I used to be obsessed with the sims...it was kinda unhealthy... I got depressed when I couldn't play!  I HAD to play it EVERY DAY, even when I got home at 22:00 I'd play for an hour or two before going to bed.  It was insane!

Then I got this demo (10 levels) of tomb raider ...and I COULD NOT STOP PLAYING!! So after 3 days the demo was finished, and I bought 2 full games, TR: The last revelation + TR: Angel of Darkness.  Both are kind of old news by now, so they were cheap!  Now Im obsessed with Tomb Raider... and I don't care about the sims anymore. Its weird.  Maybe Ill get back into it, but at the moment its just so *insert gasp here* boring *insert moment of silence here* compared to tomb raider.  Im still check in on this site though...and I might play for a few minutes if my sister loaded the game and leaves it running

...Deleting all characters results in all kinds of hassles...you shouldn't use it.
