Title: Crashes after attempting to go to a community lot.

Toshiba Satellite M305-S4848

Yes, dearies, I know.... another Sims 2 problem with me again. I'm starting to think Sims 2 doesn't like me, which is why I'm saving up for Sims 3.. anyway, on to the actual problem.

Lets say that my sims want to go clubbin' one night and they jump in the car and drive downtown. I get downtown, and then everything comes up. Then it starts to act screwy. As soon as my Sims arrive, and everything load the game either crashes or the sims are moving, but I cannot click on anything. Any idea what might be wrong? All answers are very, very much appreciated!

Classic symptoms of conflicting or incompatible custom content.

See here (especially regarding the time consuming but tried and true 50% method):

You might try, if you are able to determine the items by date, temporarily removing your latest installed custom content first in working on ferreting out the troublesome files.

Note also that you may have custom content installed which you weren't aware of -- custom lots can potentially  include unwanted, unecessarry or incompatible hacks or hacked objects which can be installed along with the custom lot.

Both the Hack Conflict Detection Utility and Clean Installer can be helpful in determining what you have installed or even what potentially may be problematic.
