FAQ: Where are the photos I took in-game saved?

The most usual place for the game to save photos are:

Community Lots, CAS, and University Campus Lots:

   (PCs)
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Storytelling

(Macs)
Home/EA Games/The Sims 2/Storytelling

Residential Lots, University Residential Lots:

   (PCs)

un-patched versions of The Sims 2 with no expansion packs installed may save all in-game photos to:

Some players have reported that having a large number of saved photos will result in the game crashing, if you have a large number of saved photos and experience problems, when you delete photos, remember to also delete the thumbnail, e.g.:

   snapshot_340dbf4d_940dbf4e.jpg AND thumbnail_340dbf4d_940dbf4e.jpg
