Ok Hmmmm this is probably the weirdest thing I have ever encountered playing the sims 2.
I was playing a family today and my two ladies had a son they adopted and last time I played with them, the kids family tree had the two ladies as his parents. but now...it says his parents are Dina Zhang (one of the ladies) but instead of the other lady as the other parent it says....Michael Bachelor O.o So I adopted another kid thinking its just a fluke bug but this kid has one lady as a parent and michael bachelor as the dad too, and hes been dead forever in my game! Now I'm freaked, thinking every kid in my game has michael bachelor as the dad, ruining like generations upon generations of sim families. Please help!

I have 6gbs of ram and plenty of hard drive space so its not that. my town isn't even that big. so its not memory,

So I recently got this brand new computer, installed all my sims games, and then i tried to play, game works fine

except the graphics quality is so low, I have already tinkered with all the graphic options available and still cannot get the quality to be any better

They appear to be blurred or stretched or squished, it looks almost like sims 1 quality instead of sims 2.

My graphics card is a Nvidia geforce 9800 GT (maybe GTX not sure)
I have 6 gbs of ram and a 3.0ghz processor

So I don't think its a memory or speed issue..
and Yes..the graphics card is installed and I have tinkered with its settings too and cannot get it right.

Please help as I cannot play the sims 2 with sims 1 quality >.>

Ok so me and the hubby are shopping for a new computer, right now we have 2 custom built computers, mine I will be selling as I never use it since we can only have one hooked up at a time *old house old wiring long story* his is 3 yrs old- a 2.6 ghz processor 200-250 gb hard-drive 1 gb of ram- having a bit of difficulty finding one thats better then that here so I may just modify..further modify his or buy a new one. problem is my precious sims are on his computer. and I'm talking a town I LOVE call Winchester that houses..hundreds if not 1k to 1.5k sims..I need to move that on to the new pc if and when we get one. I can't simply start over Winchester, well I can but I'd rather not.... so...any ideas as to how I do that.. I can't just upload them to the exchange and dl them the family ties..which are numerous would be gone and that would take a year to do. any ideas?....................Also Ati Radeon HD 2400 pro graphics card..would that work for the sims 2? And vista...I work as tech support and well....vista isn't all that great ..does anyone know if stores will give you xp inplace or their vista? I know all stores are different but just wondering if anyone who has bought a computer recently has been able to switch vista for xp.

I unlocked the cow plant, with the career, but the only time someone will reach for the cake is if I've greeted them, and even then, the cow plant will not eat them; it will only pull back, then nuzzle against them. I've watched as visiting sims have kept trying to get the cake, for a day straight, with no results. Is this a common, sudden bug, or something new? And solutions?

Ok like an idiot I bought the H and M pack today. I tried to dl and install the seasons patch but it tells me, error has occured you may have to reinstall seasons, and the same thing comes up when i try to install the h and m pack. I don't want to reinstall the seasons! If I do will it erase all my files and saved games and familys? Its too much trouble for a bunch of clothes. Any help?

Well my last neighbourhood sunk into the bowels of the earth, so I am starting a new one. I need last names, ideas for familys to make, buildings I should construct, ideas for neighbourhood background story, and most of all a city name, my last city was Winchester and I really liked that name, but since I am not deleting whats left of the old winchester due to sentimental reasons, I can't name this town Winchester. Any ideas are greatly appreciated as I want this neighbourhood to be even better then the last.

Ok I have a really annoying issue. The neighbourhood camera, I am sick of only seeing the middle of my city because it wont let me zoom out far at all. I have downloaded the camera mod but it dosent seem to help, I am following the instructions but I can't get it to zoom out. Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm really desperate, I'm too annoyed to play again if i can only use the middle of a city...

I am not kidding it is literally sinking. the land surrounding my various lots*including the other lots* goes down, way, way down into the ground or they go way, way up. Let me see if I can get pictures. They will be from when I was playing my broke family. maybe I just have really evil sims and they are going to hell slowly lol Seriously though my neighbourhood has 1000+ sims in it I do not want to lose all that work. I will post the pictures as soon as I find them, anyone have any clue how to fix this or what caused it?
