166  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / No Pictures of Sims In The Load Up Screen for apartment life only on: August 30, 2009, 10:19:09 pm
I've cleaned up the loading screen by removing those goofy sims that you see with strange poses. This will hide all of the sims from Apartment Life Only. No need to place anywhere special, this goes in your downloads folder just like everything else. I hope you enjoy this! Smiley

168  Simmers' Paradise / Tutorials / How to hide maxis items (TS2) on: August 29, 2009, 05:51:17 pm
In this tutorial you will learn how to hide Maxis items, specifically clothing, hair, and objects.

You will need:

The latest version of SimPe found here

A pen and paper

Clothing and hair:

The exact same method is used for hiding clothing as is used for hiding hair.

Step One:

Start up your game. Enter any neighborhood. bring up the cheat 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true' (without quotes) in neighborhood mode. Now go into your Create a new Family Screen. Before you do anything there type shift + N. you should see this message:

Find the article of clothing, or the set of clothes you would like to hide for this tutorial we will hide these three outfits for adult female from Apartment Life:

Now Scroll over the clothes and you should see a screen like this:

Write down the name shown in red at the top on your piece of paper. If you don't see it at the top you'll see one at or near the bottom with a long description and and underscore ( _ ). Wrtie down each one for each piece of clothing you would like to hide.

Cancel sim without saving changes and exit your game also without saving changes.

Step 2:

Create a Folder in your desktop and call it "Packed Files" you will need this later

Follow this directory to find the clothes in SimPE:

Computer/C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/The expansion pack you are hiding clothes from in this case The Sims 2 Apartment Life/TSData/Res/Catalog/Skins

Open Skins in SimPE

When it finally opens click on Property Set (GZPS)

Click on Name at the very top, this will sort the files in alphabetical order so you can find what you've written:

When you find the names of the ones you have written down right click and select extract:

Save to your folder on the desktop you created earlier called Packed Files. Do this for all the clothes you want to hide.

In SimPe click file then close.

Again click file but this time click new.

In any blank space under the resource tree right click and select add.

You shouldnt have to do any bowsing, it will just show your packed files folder already.Click on the file type then select 'all files (*.*)'

Click on the file with the little SimPe logo on it (ignore the files with the world) if you are hiding multiple things, ctrl + click all of the files with the little simPE logo only. Then click on open.

Click on the name under the resource tree

You should see something like this pop up below that immediatley:

You should ignore the top two numbers at the end of all those zeros, but every number below the top two numbers change the last number to zero. You can change the numbers to zero by looking in the lower
right hand corner you should see a little box where you can use the backspace to give the number you want. Hit commit after you have changed all the numbers to zero. Do the same thing for every file you have in
the resource tree. Be sure to commit your changes.

Click on file, then save as. Save to your downloads folder in my documents/EA GAMES/ The Sims 2/ Downloads. Give it a name that suits what you are hiding.Close SimPe, and you are done, that's it!

Objects:

Objects are a little bit different than hiding clothing and hair, because you look for their file name strictly in simPe.

Step 1:

Create a folder on your desktop called "Packed Files" you will need this later

Open SimPe and click on object workshop:

Click Start:

When it finally finishes loading, you will see the green progress bar disapear, and you will see a bunch of categories, for this tutorial we will be hiding the expensive base game toilet. Go ahead and click plumbing, toilets, and click the expensive toilet:

Now select clone from the drop menu, then press start:

When it is done loading, it will ask you to save somewhere, this is irrelevant since we are just using object workshop to find the filename. So it doesn't matter where you save it, or what filename you give it. I'll be saving it to the desktop:

Scroll Down in the resource tree until you see OBJD (the little manilla folder looking icon) there you see the name of the toilet: Toilet - Expensive:

You can now go to file and select close, then open, you should open the file found in Computer/C:/Program Files/Ea Games/The Sims 2 (or for Double Deluxe, Double Deluxe/Base)/TSData/Res/Objects:

When you have that open, find the OBJD file again, and click on name at the top, this will sort them in alphebetical order. You should scroll down until you see the file name toilet- Expensive. Right click on the name and select extract. Extract it to your packed files folder:

Select File, Then close, then file new in simpe. Right click anywhere in the empty white space under the resource list and select add. Your packed files folder will open, select from the drop down menu, all files. Open the file with the little simPe logo, not the one with the blue and white:

Once that is open click on OBJD, then click on the file in the resource list, and click on plugin view:

Now click on Catalog Sort, Then Click on Raw Data. Click on Decimal. Do nothing to the top one (or sometimes two) read only numbers, but change all the rest of the numbers below that to zero. Be Sure To Scroll Down So You Can Change All of The Numbers!!!:

Hit commit, then save as, and save to your Documents/Ea Games/The Sims 2/Downloads folder with the name of the object you want to hide:

And that's it, you've hidden a Maxis Object!

170  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Black Bigfoot Replacement on: August 28, 2009, 07:32:20 pm
Now you can have this lovely Black bigfoot in your game. This will completley replace the brown bigfoot. Do not use this with any other bigfoot replacements! Even if it's just the bigfoot face replacement found on mts!

I hope you enjoy!

Bon Voyage required.

171  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Turning a sim into a werewolf is not a negative social on: August 27, 2009, 04:57:40 am
Remington wanted to turn his girlfriend into a werewolf, but he didn't want to ruin their relationship level any. So I made a mod that wouldn't give you the negative social when you turn another sim into a werewolf. Pets required. I hope you enjoy this! Smiley
172  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / More Unlocked Supernatural Eyes on: August 26, 2009, 10:35:21 pm
These remaining supernatural eyes are also safe to put in the downloads folder because these were made with the same method for my unlocked alien eyes. I used the Maxis texture for the eyes, and imported them into bodyshop. Even though these eyes came with expansion packs, there is no ep required to see them, only the base game is required. I've also made the contacts versions of these eyes as well. I hope you enjoy!
173  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / LOTP comes every night on: August 24, 2009, 09:35:05 pm
This is a BCON edit to make the leader of the pack (the one who turns your sim into a werewolf) come every night. He stays as long as he did the other time, so you can build up your relationship with him, and the best part is when he leaves, most of the time, another LOTP comes, so you can have a second chance with them if things don't go well between you and the other leader of the pack. The way to turn your sim into a werewolf is this: build your sims relationship level with the LOTP to 100 then have your sim do nothing, if they try to do something x it out, make sure they are idle. Then you will see the LOTP come up to you, and start nibbling on you, allow him to nibble you, and you have turned your sim into a werewolf. I've found that having sims with Maxis skintones helps if you want them to actually look like a werewolf, otherwise they will look just like a human, they will still transform, and they can still howl, but if they have a custom skintone they will still look human.

I realize that squinge already made a mod to allow him to come on certain days for two hours, but mine is different from his, because with mine he comes every night and stays longer.

I hope you enjoy this very much! Pets required.
174  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF more frequent walkby of Leader of The Pack (Werewolf) on: August 24, 2009, 09:31:24 pm
I just made a hack to allow him to come every night and he stays longer than squinge's hack.
175  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF more frequent walkby of Leader of The Pack (Werewolf) on: August 24, 2009, 08:37:25 pm
I really need to find a hack that will allow the leader of the pack (the one in Pets who turns your sim into a werewolf) to visit your sim's lot more often. If anyone knows where to find this, please let me know, thanks! Smiley
176  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Re: Adults, Teens, and Young Adults do not play in Seasons Leaves and Puddles on: August 24, 2009, 04:07:57 am
Actually that's not what I was looking for, I wanted teens to not splash in puddles as well, his mod, just makes it to where adults and above don't do that. Also his mod includes a bunch of other things I don't want gone forever, like kickyback, toss football, and all the rest. The only one in that list I liked in his mod, was the not splashing in puddles one, and unfortunately they are all packed in the same package. Even if I did delete the others in simPE, teens could still splash. Sorry, I know you tried to help. Embarrassed
177  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Adults, Teens, and Young Adults do not play in Seasons Leaves and Puddles on: August 23, 2009, 09:35:43 pm
This has really bugged me for a very long time, how adults, young adults, and teens, play in leaves and puddles. No one in real life that age does that. I'd really like to see a mod made for this in the near future. I would make it, but I don't know exactly what files to edit. I have every EP and SP minus holiday stuff.
178  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Re: Vampire Friendly Welcome Wagon on: August 23, 2009, 09:52:35 am
No it really just changes the time of the welcome wagon from oh 12:30 noon to about 8:00 pm in fact, Nightlife isn't even required. It's recommended though because I specifically had vampires in mind when making this, so if you have some vampires that you created they will be in the welcome wagon. I think I made a typo when I said Nightlife required.
179  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Unlocked And Age Converted Gypsy Matchmaker Outfit on: August 23, 2009, 09:24:11 am
I've unlocked and age converted the gypsy matchmaker dress from Nightlife. This unlocked dress is available for Adults, Young Adults, and Elders. The same rule applies here as well as for anything unlocked you will ever download. It's safest to put unlocked things here:

C:/Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2 (your latest expansion or stuff pack)/TSData/Res/Catalog/Skins

The reason for this is, if you place in the downloads folder, the delete key will activate in CAS screen, and it will seriously mess up your game if you delete it from within CAS screen.

I hope you enjoy this, I didn't see anything like this anywhere online, so I'm proud to say, I'm the first one who thought of this idea!

Nightlife Required.
180  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Unlimited Uses for RenuYuPorta Chug on: August 23, 2009, 06:59:44 am
I've also changed the uses of the RenuYuPorta Chug from 1 use, to 9,999. For those of you asking, hey the change my turn ons and turn offs was just a one time thing? Now you can let your sims change their turn ons and turn offs pretty much as many times as you want, throughout their lifetime. Unlimited uses for RenuYuPorta Chug also has zero percent chance of failure, Nightlife required.
