Title: Accidentally deleted a maxis mesh? [resolved]
Post by: sliimshaydi on September 20, 2008, 10:44:31 pm
Hi,

A while back I downloaded a wooden swingset, and it was a default replacement, so I had this instead of the usual maxis swingset, for maybe a year or so. Well with the new playground equipment from AL I wanted my playground sets to match so I wanted to get rid of the wooden one and go back to the regular mesh. Well, I stupidly deleted the wooden swing in-game, thinking the normal one would just come back, but I was wrong. The regular maxis mesh never came back & now my simmies can't have swings :(

Anyone know how I can possibly get the swings bacK? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for reading.

My guess is all you did in game is delete the texture of the swing, not the mesh and everything associated with it.  The custom mesh is blocking the Maxis swing from showing.  Now you get to go on that great treasure hunt, "Find the Orphaned Mesh".  DDO may be a good place to start.
