Title: Problem installing University Post by: Marynac on March 09, 2008, 07:56:06 pm Hi! If anyone is able to help me. I uninstalled all of my Sims 2 and started over. Installed Sims 2, no problem, tried to install University, got a message "Could not install E:\TSBin\Sims2EP1 exe from the media." It then gave me a choice of retrying or canceling the installation. It couldn't retry though.
Would anyone be able to help me with this problem? I don't want to install the rest of my expansion packs until I can fix this. Thank you! Most of the reading errors occur when there's a spot/scratch/smear on the part of the CD that contains that specific data. Try cleaning it and finishing the installation then. ;)
(And a mod/admin might be able to move this to the help section for ya. It's kinda in the wrong place at the moment, but that's all good.) Title: Problem installing University Post by: lewisb40 on March 10, 2008, 05:02:23 pm I am reinstalling my game, and I got problems with the uninstall part of the process. I cancelled the installation and took out the disc, checked it for defects and put it back. Then it installed the game. Hope that helps!

It took me several tries and only worked when I turned off my anti virus. I left the firewall on, but was off the net. I have Norton's which I see they are blaming for the Nvidia crashing issues now.
