I was looking through the bodyshop bin and I found this bodyless Maxis sim. I kinda felt sorry for Mr. No-Body, so I gave him a make over. For an older guy, he turned out to be pretty good looking.

I aged him down, and he was good looking all the way through his life. For a Maxis made sim, I was shocked. I think I'm going to put him in a neighbourhood, but I can't decided if I should leave him as an elder or if I should play him as an adult.

And that father in the Pleasant family is already an elder in my game.

First up: The Capp Family!
Now, with my makeovers, I like to stick to the Maxis skins when making over sims in a default neighborhood (like Pleasantview and Veronaville.), unless I can use skintone selector to find a skintone that is Maxis-like.

What I Did:
Well, I decided I wanted to play around with the Capp family, after making a family with two sims: A cute boy, and a cute girl, and deciding to hook up Tybalt with one, then Hermia with the other. But when I saw their faces, I freaked! So, with a newly downloaded, teen-enabled plastic surgery machine, I made them all over, one by one. First, I chose the base Maxis face, the very first one, because I find it to be a cute facial structure. Then, to make them look a bit more like their old selves, I broadened the jaw a bit (for the males. I narrowed it for the females.), then thinned the face a little. Then, for Consort, Tybalt and Hermia, I narrowed the eyes a little (first making them smaller, then elongating them a little.). For Juliet, I widened the eyes a bit (reversed eye treatment for Consort, Tybalt and Hermia.). Then, for the girls, I pinched the bottom lip, giving them a slightly more feminine look. Then, I finished up! I may be changing their hairstyles, but right now, I think the hair fits the personality for all of them. :3

Tybalt:
Well, I was going to give Tybby (I love calling him that! XD lol!) a cute girlfriend (or maybe a boyfriend. I'm a yaoi freak. XD), but then I got a good look at his face. Let's just say I wasn't happy. So, since I recently downloaded a teen-enabled plastic surgery machine (What's it called, again? The showbiz career reward.), I decided to give him a makeover. I didn't change his face makeup or his hair, but instead, restructured his face. And here he is!

Then I thought, "Well, they all seem to need a makeover." So, I chose Hermia (I think that's her name) to be next up. I liked her punk style, so I kept everything the same with her, except for her facial structure..

One thing I've always wondered about these makeovers, especially of Maxis sims.  Do you guys make them over according to the way you see their personalities or do you go by what Maxis has said about their personalities, in their bios and such?

First up, I made-over an old lady NPC named Denise *can't remember*. She was really saggy beforehand so I purked her up with a Warlokk bodymeshe and some flattering makeup and hair. I think she looks much more realistic now as not all old people wind up hunched over and frumpy.

I decided to give this a try, so I loaded up bodyshop and messed around with two of the maxis premades.
First we have some nameless female. I changed very little facial structure wise most of it's just makeup and hair and clothing, and the eyes changed to more realistic color. Anyone have any good suggestions for defualt replacement eyes?

Jenny and Pollination Tech#9 Smith: It's hard to see because of course they wanted to have an outdoor pillowfight in the middle of the damned night, but I aged them both down a tad with InSim and then made them over. I need to try and get PT looking toward the camera; all I really changed after aging him down was his hairstyle. Jenny got new hair and softer make-up.

I had Pascal marry Cassandra after I moved their whole home to Pleasantview. Can't show you the make-over I gave him, because I'm currently in a fresh and new game. Still have him backed-up somewhere though, married to pregnant Cassandra, moved into the Goth-house with his alien daughter. :)

Aww..Right now I have restarted playing Cassandra and have her married to Don Lothario and pregnant.
She is not too happy.
I always imagined her with Darren Dreamer.

That's why I refused to marry her to him, everyone does.
I had Don marry Nina, they already have 2 kids together, Mortimer married Dina, Dina had twins, Mortimer died, Dina resurrected him, Darren married Kaylynn (after she had twins from Daniel, and Darren adopted a kid), I made sure Mary-Sue never caught Daniel cheating and had them have another baby.
As I already said, Cassandra married Pascal while pregnant with Don's baby, and I'm pretty sure I was busy getting Brandi fall in love with Lazlo.
And then Vidcund was the one who was going to keep living in their old home, with his alien daughter and eventually find a new girl or something.
But it's been aaaages since I played Pleasantview, so I'm not 100% sure that's what happened. But at least it's close. xD
Brandi's oldest boy was working on becoming nicer and getting his grades up, the Pleasant-sisters stopped hating each other and were working on actually liking each other, so basically everyone got happy, married and pregnant. xD

How did u do it?  You put house sims and all in lot catalogue and then moved it into Strangehood?
I always thought that would corrupt my files and was afraid to do that.

Yeah, I put the whole house including the sims living in it in the lot catalogue, and placed the house in Pleasantview. I personally had no issues at all with my game or that family afterwards.

Cool!  Have to try that!

I found one makeover picture thread, but it was for townies, so I decided to make this one for sims we have made and then made over. Here's mine:

This is Jessica. She is 14, from London, England. She now lives in Alabama in the US. Her older sister is is cosmotology school and offered to give her a make-over just in time to start her first year of high school, and this is how it came out.

This was done without any actual changing of facial features. The sim only has changes in hair, brows, makeup, accessories and clothing.

Ah ! They are awesome with makeup and personnalized stuff ! I did the same with a female sims alien ... I think her name is Olga Terrano (in French I don't know her name is English it's probably the same)

Try either BlooM's skin changer picture, or go to the tutorials section and find my tutorial on how to use SimPE for skin changing.

Thank you for your help SenkoTwiik , I decided to download default skins for townies :)  :rolleyes: The result is stunning ! Yesterday I relooked some of young adult townies (from La Fiesta university,) I don't have pictures of them  before the changing *whisper* .I was quite exciting to make them better, and I noticed that the Sims Studio made a pretty work on certains characters.I thought it's a pity to delete them lol.
