My friend wants to buy the Sims 2 but she doesn't have a DVD Drive on her computer. Does just the basic Sims 2 need a DVD Drive? And do the expansion packs? Thanks.

1. Even though I paint them, the walls in my Sim's house continue to stay flashing shades of red.

In my Sims 2 game whenever I make a family there is always a flashing red wall in the back. How do I get rid of it? And it's for my house too. When I try to paint it it stays like that.
