You can do it with simpe, just knock on the pregnant option.  I've done it before and i got 2 townie style (they live in a house but i never play them) sims that look and act always pregnant but in reality aren't.

Oh!  I had this silly notion that if I checked the pregnant body shape in SimPE, they'll really be pregnant.

No worries; we've only begun to explore the possibilities, even with the meshes that came with the orginal game. Smiley

At the moment I'm going into serious Body Shop withdrawal symptoms because my main simming machine has spent the last four hours moving a huge site from one server to another and still has over an hour to go.  Darn!
67  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Beginner's Object Recoloring Tutorial? on: February 14, 2007, 11:55:04 pm
Good point!  Those DXT utilities even wake up when I'm using the Wizards of Simpe to recolor a Maxian object.

(They're easy to install and use.  No one reading this thread need be affrighted by the alphabet soup.)

Would it be feasible to change an adult female's body shape so that she looks pregnant, but isn't really?  And then back to normal again?

I've wished for that a few times when I was doing a photo shoot for a story where the sim was pregnant at the time of the action, but had subsequently given birth in the game.

(I also have this deviant desire to have the social workers run around with a bulging belly, but we won't mention that. )

71  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Beginner's Object Recoloring Tutorial? on: February 05, 2007, 07:23:44 pm
Thanks, Jakov!  I'll try that tonight!

I'm beginning to suspect that such a basic tutorial is hard to find because most folks figure it's too basic to even bother!  My problem might have been that I was making it much harder than it needed to be!

Addendum:  Yippee!  It worked!

Anja can finally have the Shelby Cobra she's been campaigning for!  And my present is that I no longer have edit every picture where a vehicle shows up in her story!

It seems like a lot of work to make a little electronic stripper happy, but it was fun!

I had to flip over to Numenor's tutorial to figure out the finer points of "Built DXT" but I wouldn't have even known to look for that without your help, Jakov!  Thanks again!

I have more work to do on the textures for that car, but at least now I know how to do it! :happy8:

Caution is advised: Greg learning to use a new toy can be hazardous to your Downloads folder.

Ooh,those t shirts are cute!I like how the panties are with the shirt, that's cool!I tried to do that but the poor girl ended up with pants down by her ankles....

Hey!  She sounds like my kind of gal!

OKOKOK... seriously... sometimes the mesh's UV map can thwart your best-laid schemes.  This trick has to be matched with a mesh that's picking its pixels from the the same place as the garment you're working on.

It works for about 95% of the Maxis meshes but the more elaborate costumes have bits coming from all over the place.  In that case, you never know what you'll get!

I can never find the same tut twice it seems....BUT...make a copy of the existing package, rename it, export the texture with simpe, recolor it, and them import...obviously with saving and committing etc etc...drop it in your dl file and viola!! recolor!

That sounds simple enough!  Do you have to fiddle with the GUID or some other arcane bit of data?
