76  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Re: Join Me For Dinner? on: April 07, 2009, 06:57:54 pm
that's an interesting idea for a mod, i'd probably download it. but would that mean that when sim B goes to join sim A, they'll be on a date? or an outing? i don't really understand that part.
77  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Re: vampire waiter/waitresses? on: April 07, 2009, 06:50:39 pm
yeah, i know about the cheat. the thing is i don't use any boolprop/neighborhood cheats because of the chance i'll get errors in my game. i was just hoping there could be a global mod that like all butlers being zombies, except it's waiters and vampires. its ok though, i thought it'd be a cool idea. i don't know how it could work if it would mess up any ofb waitresses. i don't really know how it all works, so if it can't be done it's fine. thank you guys for your time.
78  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: WTF? snowy lots flashing blue on: April 06, 2009, 07:24:25 pm
i don't have any weather mods as far as "anti weather reaction" from maty

i use the scriptorium, and a sunset/sunrise mod from here
http://modthesims2.com/download.php?t=295814

it only blinks when im playing that lot, i haven't seen the snowy neighborhood view yet but i'll check

EDIT: i uploaded a small video, too. so you can better understand the problem.
in this clip, the grass terrain isn't showing like it was before. it blinks blue, black, and sometimes the green terrain.
blue and black mostly, though. as you can see.

download the movie below.
79  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / WTF? snowy lots flashing blue **NOW WITH PICTURE** on: April 05, 2009, 02:24:06 pm
this is not EP specific except maybe seasons.
it was snowing on my sim lot yesterday, and then instead of the fallen snow i get a FLASHING BLUE lot. it was so annoying. it'd flash blue, black, then back to the regular lot. but it was flashing really quickly.
is this a mod conflict? what the hell?

edit:

here's to give you an idea of what it looks like, and how freaking annoying it is. it flashes blue and black, and then back to normal terrain. there's no snow on the ground.

80  Simmers' Paradise / Contests & Challenges / Re: Has there ever been a contest like this? Houses on: March 27, 2009, 08:13:35 pm
so, basically we all download the same house plan, completely empty, and for each round design one room at a time? do we judge the winners on who's house looks the best overall, or on the appearance of the overall rooms? i think it sounds like fun, it took me a minute to understand though.

82  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Patch Message:"FT Not Installed Properly" (But Plays Fine); Q. Destination Path? on: March 22, 2009, 05:18:52 am
i think there was something wrong with the old freetime patch, atleast from what i can remember. reinstall your game.
83  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Weird Multiple Glitches on: March 22, 2009, 05:17:50 am
what expansions do you have? your problem could be outdated hacks, if you installed any new expansion packs. it either looks like hack conflicts, or outdated hacks to me. they can really bork your game, speaking from past experience.
84  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: (4 whoever has read The Little Fire Burning by Theraven) question? on: March 22, 2009, 05:14:21 am
i think rather than the general sims 2 help forum, this belongs in the WCIF ((where can i find)) forum. try asking there.
85  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Simple question on: March 22, 2009, 05:12:26 am
are you talking about information in build and buy mode popping up in the game?
your downloads folder is viewed outside of your game, so unless you can find the file in your downloads file by doing a search, you're not going to be able to find the file any other way.
86  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Confused about vacation days? on: March 22, 2009, 05:10:54 am
EA has consistency problems relating the regular work vacation days to the vacations you can have in bon voyage. or they just wanted to avoid confusion. so much for that.
87  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: the game keeps minamizing to the desktop on: March 22, 2009, 05:08:10 am
laptops are a pain in the ass to play the sims, or any game on really.
it's good you solved your problem though, if you have any problems in the future, let me advise you to use an actual computer for your games. Smiley
88  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: question about the game? on: March 21, 2009, 10:04:44 pm

89  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Newly installed expansion objects problem on: March 21, 2009, 09:35:43 pm
is that the missing textures error? i had that too. i just bought a new nightlife cd and uninstalled/reinstalled the new one. it works fine now. nightlife cd's are cheap when you get them used on amazon, like i did.
90  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / question about the game? on: March 21, 2009, 09:14:05 pm
alright, so let's say you have your neighbourhoods, custom and maxis made, and you have your sims that you made, and houses/community lots you made in them. if you made a backup of your whole sims 2 folder, and then maybe had the game on another computer and just put that sims 2 folder in the other computers EA games folder, will the neighbourhoods all be the same? will you still have the houses/community lots you made, and your sims characters?

thanks.  tongue
