31  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / You have been playing the Sims 2 for too long... on: November 13, 2007, 01:31:52 pm
When you find yourself typing the Motherlode cheat into Quicken.

When you see an ugly piece of clothing and think, 'I could recolor that!'

When your out shopping for clothes or furniture, someone calls you and asks what your doing, and you say "I'm downloding from a paysite."
32  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Misc. Teen Style news on: November 07, 2007, 03:30:20 pm
Well I can't say much about the girl outfits, but Maxis seems to slowly be pulling their head out of their @$$ when it comes to teen guy outfits... I like some of them... its amazing. And, some of the wall hangings, furniture, ect. this may be the first SP I buy for the purpose of wanting it... I mean I just got the first two for lots and objects. So we'll see.
33  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / My Rant About EAxis and Teens on: October 30, 2007, 12:23:43 pm
Frankly I just make my CC clothes that I download for adults into teen clothes, they look pretty darn good, and some of em look better for teens then adults, granted H & M did have some Fairly decent clothes compared to others.

But seriously, fire whoever you have texturing these meshes, hire some consultants and get some GOOD texturers (CC makers HINT HINT!) Try comissioning people like fanseelamb and others to make your clothes for you, and PAY THEM and CREDIT THEM. Even if they don't want to make stuff for you, they can still be adivisors. Cause believe me EAxis, you need some.
34  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / last name choose/changer? on: October 27, 2007, 09:05:24 am
If you have SimPE (but your going to need some patience if you have Bon Voyage, it still has not been updated for it, but if you have Celebrations or lower, this method will work wonderfully), just go to the tools tab, then click neighborhood browser, then click the neighborhood who's sims last name you want changed is in.

Then wait for it to load, then click the tools tab again, and click sim browser, wait for THAT to load and then scroll down or up until you see your sim (it's sorted by first name) double click him or her, and then a "window" per se should open in the bottom of SimPE, there will be a whole bunch of sim info, BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAMPERING WITH THIS STUFF! THIS COULD DESTROY A SIM AS YOU KNOW IT!

Look for a box that has that Sim's picture in it, then to the right of it will be two boxes, one for the first name and one for the last name, highlight the last name and then type in the new one you want. Then press commit, best press it twice just to make sure it's saved, then go play your newly named sim! Note: if the sim's last name your changing is in a family, repeat this process  for every sim in the family, so each one has the same last name.)

Hope this helps! (You can download SimPE here )
35  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / My Rant About EAxis and Teens on: October 26, 2007, 06:02:25 pm
Ok... I am here to blow off MAJOR Sims 2 Steam... I HAVE HAD IT! I HAVE HAD IT WITH MAXIS TEENS! I Mean WHAT THE HELL!? I go to make a teen boy, and I browse through 50 FRICKING PAGES of clothes to find something decent, AND NOTHING!

Ok, I'll admit there were three decent teen boy outfits in BV but THATS IT! 3 PAGES OF RECOLOURS OF THE SAME CRAPPY ASS T-SHIRTS AND BLACK JEANS! And why do maxis boys always look so ugly and compact?!

Ugh... don't even get me STARTED on the maxis girls... WHAT KIND OF TEENAGER WEARS A DRESS FOR A CASUAL OUTFIT(and if one is reading this I apologize.), THIS AINT THE SEVENTIES ANYMORE EAXIS!

And THEN theres their other clothes, I mean SKANKY CHEERLEADER, HUGE 50s DRESSES, COME ON! THE TEENS LOOK JUST AS UGLY IF YOU DON'T MAKE SURE YOU ADD ON FIFTY POUNDS OF CC!

ARGH! This has me so pissed! And if ANYONE agrees with me post here.
36  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How to move furniture at a 45 degree angle? on: October 17, 2007, 10:47:26 pm

37  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How to move furniture at a 45 degree angle? on: October 14, 2007, 07:06:11 pm
I agree with Spencer, the Maxis system is idiotic, but you never capitilize a letter in boolprop, just take that as a rule of thumb.
38  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How to move furniture at a 45 degree angle? on: October 14, 2007, 11:08:55 am
JCSpecncer, its actually the other way around Tongue, False Turns it off, True turns it on. And the sim CAN sit in angled chairs. It just has to be placed right.

And another cheat I would rccommend when trying to get it exactly where you want it is boolprop snapobjectstogrid [false/true] (false turns it on, true turns it off) this allows you to place objects so they aren't determined by the buy/build mode grid, and when doing angled grid cheat with moveobjects [on/off] to get them just right.

Hope this helps Cheesy
39  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Should I do it? on: October 14, 2007, 09:58:50 am
I see, I figured I'd need SubFolders, and I know what I've downloaded (since alot of the sites I downloaded from had disappeared after I had reformatted my hard drive) and I'll be able to download my fave anyway.

But I'm gonna wait and see if I can get body shop working without having to reinstall, so thanks for the input, and more is welcomed Cheesy
40  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Should I do it? on: October 13, 2007, 10:08:09 pm
Well, its not a hard question to ask, but its a hard thing to do. Should I empty my downloads folder?

Now I've been a good boy and toned down EXTREMELY on my downloads, I know this is nothing compared to other simmers, but before I had to reformat my hard-drive I had over 5000 package files, now after 3 months of downloading, I have only 1000 of them, almost ONE-FIFTH!

But, my game is full of useless clothes and hair, and I fear that one day, next year, my game will turn into a flaming mass of evil and satanry.

So if I do this I will make a resolution to use sub folders.

I will be more organized.

And I won't download crap. (Which is not a importanta because I barely do that now.

My only issue is that I have been having MAJOR issues with WinRAR on this comp (it won't function period. No matter what I do) so I wouldn't be able to download any RARs or Zips without having to do it on another comp, transfer the files to this one, then move said files to downloads folders

I want people's honest opinion.
41  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / The Sims 2: Castaway Summary & Features on: October 13, 2007, 09:41:37 pm
I believe that the PC version is Sims Castaway Stories coming out in Winter of 2008.

But the console versions look interesting, I'll consider getting one for the PS2.
42  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Oh Crud... what did I do to Bodyshop?! on: October 13, 2007, 08:53:44 pm
Well simply put BodyShop won't finish loading, and it lags my computer extremely. And I am EXTREMELY annoyed by this glitch.

But I have a hunch as to what caused it, I uninstalled a program called command.exe, after which BodyShop ceased to function. So If anyone knows what actually causedit, PLEASE HELP!!!!
43  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Enabling Bigfoot to Interact Romantically? on: October 03, 2007, 10:56:08 am
The InSim does nothing but change the thumbnails. And also, Bigfoot has unattainable wants, like become a vampire, etc. Maybe EAxis will fix this in their supposed patch.
