Title: A couple issues....
Post by: lvrogue13 on July 03, 2007, 08:53:59 pm
I looked through tons of threads to make sure this hasn't been covered, but I didn't see any. So, here goes:

First, when I build a pool, I can't place a ladder for some reason. When I try, it says "Can't place against a wall" or something like that. I don't know what happened, because I've built pools before and never had this problem. I tried every size and angle of pool I can think of, and still the same thing

Second, I have added some custom paintings and pictures to my game, but they don't show up in my Buy menu. I thought maybe its because I don't have the right expansions, but most of them only require TS2.

Any help would be appreciated!

A lot of times the custom paintings are recolors of paintings already in the game. When you click on a painting in the buy catalog it will show you if there are any recolors of that painting.

True, and I've gone through each and every one of them. Still nothing. Thanks though....

No worries! I do have University and Nightlife, but that's all right now.

Do you have the newest CEP (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=92541) installed?  You also might want to check and see if you have the meshes that some custom paintings might require.

Also, it may sound a little silly, but do you also have custom content enabled?

As for the pool ladder... your pool isn't too close to a house or the boundaries of a lot, is it?  Or do you have "boolprop snapobjectstogrid false" enabled while trying to put it down?
