Title: Toddler hair always black despite Genetics
Post by: SarahsALoser on February 15, 2007, 12:36:50 pm
I have been having this problem alot. No matter what genetics a born in game baby has, when it is aged to toddler it has black hair.

I experimented today. I made a test family The father with Red hair and the mother with blonde hair. They were CAS families so there is no funny back DNA somewhere. They had a baby and it was born. It had blonde eyebrows (making me assume blonde hair) and blue eyes.

when the child was aged to toddler though it had black hair. The brows were still blonde though. See the picture.

does anyone know what could be causing this?

whoa, confusing, when did this happen? is it custom content in the genetics from the parents? sometimes costume creators may neglact changning the toddler's hair 'cause it is a short life stage.
Either that, or a hair mesh or a hack is blocking the game's original genetics script during the toddler stage.
Otherwise, i'm not sure...

Do you have the new pets patch installed?

I do have it installed. could that be it?

Also. I have custom hair but it's all been binned. The only hack installed recently was the WooHooteens hack and I have since removed it but not retested.  Clean installer keeps crashing, so I don't know if it could be something else.

This is a known issue regarding the new patch. This thread may help:
