The only way to tell is to test it in your game.  I suspect the door at the 45 degree angle might not work if it's too close to the adjacent wall.

Nope. It'll say you're intersecting other objects.

To place them (and avoid the intersecting objects) bring up the cheat code box ctrl+shift+C and type in moveobjects on. This will allow you to place anything anywhere. The catch is that the door or the arch may not work anyway. It never hurts to try though, you can always remodel.

Also pake sure both the door and the arch face out assuming the corner you drew here is from an in perspective.
