Title: Compatibility question

i just bought a new laptop and i was wondering if The Sims 2 is compatible with 64 bit vista?

any help would be appreciated thanks  :D

Sims and 99% of other applications are all 32bit, I don't think it can run, however try to install it and see what happens.

I'm guessing you will have issues with it but some 32 bit programs run fine on 64 bit systems and some don't. Some of the 32 bit programs run fine after you register certain dll files on the 64 bit OS.

By register I mean manually using a windows program called regsvr not entering the registration code on the game. You will just have to install it and find out. I did find  This  (http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-vista-support/284854-sims-2-compatible-vista-64-bit.html) that can help you trouble shoot it if you have problems with it.
