76  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF... speakers/stereo like this? on: January 11, 2012, 03:40:24 pm
The closest item(s) I know of are here  http://php.chol.com/~s338/bbs/zb41pl7/bbs/zboard.php?id=test&page=3&sn1=&divpage=1&category=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=73 , in this stage set( donation). That site is dead for ages , here is the booty link http://paysites.mustbedestroyed.org/booty/ts2/asamo/ . With some moveobjects on and boolProp you could slap some speakers on those girder/truss objects . There is also a cool stage set at MTS here http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=195229 . I think I have about every music related object (worth having) ever made for Sims 2 , so if you need other music , urban type items feel free to PM. Sometimes I can't recall or find the original site , but will PM anything that will help your building quest. Good luck!

78  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Re: Publix Supermarket "OFB" on: January 01, 2012, 01:36:30 am
Atavera , who made that sign , has a repository on MTS. It's not easy to locate , so here is the link.http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=213739  the sign you want is in post 4 of the comments section , "Neon shop signs real brands". While you are there please check out his other items , particularly his musical stuff , he was an awesome creator and a great contributor to sims gaming. Happy new year!
79  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: My sims 2 game keeps crashing when trying to go into build mode on: December 11, 2011, 10:23:33 pm
Try deleting your cache files. Go to MyDocuments/Yourname/EAgames/Sims2 and delete the following , accessory.cache and groups.cache They are frequently a source of trouble as they become corrupted. They will re-generate , so even if that doesn't solve your problem it will do no harm. I delete mine before I start up the game every time. Good luck!

82  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Two sims missing , last seen climbing into airport van on: June 18, 2011, 09:54:48 pm
The bad news is I have two missing sims , the good news is I think there are only three or four ways left for me to mess up my game before I finish off that milestone.

The scenario: I sent two sims on vacation , upon returning to their home neighborhood I decided to have them purchase a vacation home. I saved , went to Twikki island, saw that there was only one beachlot home available. I moved that one into the lots and houses bin, so I would have a backup of it before any remodeling was done. I placed another copy of that lot into the exact place it was initially. I made a few minor changes, saved , and returned to Pleasantview. I had my sims purchase the beach lot as a vacation home. I checked and saw the deed in the inventory. I had them call to go on vacation, I selected their vacation home as their place to stay , as it was now listed in the options. The shuttle showed up and they departed. Somewhere in there I saw a note on the side stating that one of the sims was now "stack object 1" I believe, not good. Cry

Twikki Island loaded, their vacation home loaded, but no sims. It was in the buy/build stage , where one can make changes when no sims are present. Uh oh, they have been abducted! I reloaded Twikki, saw that their was an icon of a spinning bed over their home and attempted to enter it again. Same results. I went back to Pleasantview, tried to select their home there, a message said that they were vacationing at Twikki, blah , blah, did I want to play them there , I said yes. Anyway, same results in Twikki, missing in Pleasantview as well. Put in an all points bulletin for two missing sims, a very attractive young lady and her somewhat shady male companion. Cheesy

I went to another lot in Pleasantview, used Inge's teleporter cat to summon the two missing sims, they showed up. I used moveObjects on to delete them , as I have done in the past , and hoped they would appear by a mailbox in Pleasantview, Twikki or Timbuktu as I really didn't care at that point. No luck, still AWOL. huh

The only idea I have left is to go back to their friendly neighbors, summon them again and have them move into that house. Then , if I can, bulldoze the lot in Pleasantview they resided in and sell their vacation home in Twikki, if the game allows me to do any/all of those things. If I can get away with that, I don't mind moving them out again and starting over.

So, what did I do wrong in the first place to create this fiasco, and what should I do in the future to avoid the same mishap(s)? Second question, anything inherently wrong in my plan to "rescue" them , and does anyone have any other ideas if that fails? Additional info, I can't operate a butter knife, much less SimPe, so no hope there. I really appreciate any help, ridicule, better you than me's or suggestions! Thanks in advance!

This should do the trick   http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=289244   , also has many other handy features. Good luck!
84  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Virus In-Game on: June 05, 2011, 11:43:32 pm
You can right click on both the launcher (if you use that) and your The Sims 2 folders and scan those for things that shouldn't be there. I have Mcafee , Malwarebytes , Ad-Aware and Spyware blaster on my comp and several if not all of those should show when you right click to give you that option. I found Norton , even when free , to be pretty useless also. There are quite a few decent free virus etc , scanners out there. Just make sure to do a little research/review work before you dl any. Good luck!
85  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Help with Packaged Lots with Sims. on: May 31, 2011, 09:08:25 pm
Sorry that I can't help with your question, but I have a question for you. Did the sims your brother packaged have existing relationships/ memories of other ( non packaged) sims? If so  , you need to either do some work in SimPe to change that , or just avoid installing them completely. Sims that have been moved to a different neighborhood(including, for example, two versions of Pleasantview) ard have memories/relationships that are no longer able to be referenced are one of the surest ways to mess up your game. See this post  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,19966.0.html and many others for examples of that. Good luck!
86  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF gymnastic stuff on: May 29, 2011, 06:54:46 pm
Here is a Gym bar set http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=145497 , the same artist  (sartake) made about 5-6 gymnastics related items. Fee Essen has a Rhythmic Gymnastics set on her site , it is also listed at MTS, but that dl is just the collection file for the actual set, which is on her site.
87  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: residential items on community lot on: May 08, 2011, 10:23:28 pm
As someone with SimPephobia/ or just plain laziness Cheesy , I have used several ways to get any items on community lots . This , made by cathair 2005 (see post 48) ,http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=204467&c=1&ht=0&page=2&pp=25#startcomments was working through AL and/ or M and G for me... until I started playing in BellaDonna cove then it stopped, may be  a hack conflict, not sure. Also this is a very useful tool to just help you find items in residential or community lots   http://forum.jfade.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=58  . Another method is just to make sure that any community  lots you want residential only items on are owned , even if just by a "dummy" sim with no other purpose , just purchase the item in residential , place it in their inventory and visit the community lot to set it up. As a pose box fanatic that works great as so many of the boxes fail to show in community lot status. Best of luck! Thumbs Up
88  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: TOPS for Top-Heavy Teens? on: April 15, 2011, 03:29:22 am
The largest size tops that Warlokk made for teens is the D. There is a Powerteen shape at ISA ( adult site , over 18, reg. required) , look in Bloom's section. Rising Sun at ISA also made several adult/teen shapes. There are many options at BAS ( Back Alley Sims, adult site, over 18, reg. required) , look for Pierre's section. He has made numerous female shapes with adult and teen counterparts. The Mystical One made complete , or very close too, sets of all Maxis teen clothing for all of Warlokk's sizes , many of those are at MTS. Good luck! Wink

If you go to the second link on that page you can download the items individually. All the items are there and the link/dl works, at least for the first one, that is all I checked.
