Title: Can Bigfoot Be more then Just A Family Member?
Post by: mrdolphins on September 15, 2007, 05:51:31 pm
Okay this may sound a little odd. But dose any one know how to make bigfoot be anything other then just a family member. I mean I would like him to get married and have kids of his own and that kind of thing.
I just thought I'd ask.
If there is another  I'm sorry I didn't see it.
Thank you all for your time.

Bigfoot can't, apparently, do any romantic interactions and therefore can't be married

I'm sure some kind of cheat or hack will be made but whether this would blow up the game I'm not sure, it looks as if he's supposed to be single!

I haven't played the game yet, but maybe, it's similar to a pet... more maybe like a cross between pet and one of the other things like Plantsim or Servo, so it has some interactions, but like pets, it doesn't have any romantic ones.

If he hasn't been programmed to romantically interact with anybody, then it's a damn shame...I mean, that hack by Crammyboy does work on him, after all!

Yes, I am talking about that hack exactly - as it's a PG-13 forum I actually don't think I can mention the name here!

It states specifically in the book that Bigfoot cannot do romantic interactions. However, he can have and job and he actually should have all skills and badges. I think I want him to join a family just so he can be the breadwinner!

See, that makes no sense to me.  A servo can do romantic interactions and get married, but Bigfoot can't?  Crap!!!

Arf ! A servo is created by a sim but what about Bigfoot ? :D
A link between monkey and human ?

No, sorry I don't know but it's not a problem for me. Bigfoot is Bigfoot, a single creature. And I prefer let him (?) live in forest / mountain. :)

Its odd... bigfoot is a "man" so he should be able to marry etc.  I wonder why they wouldn't allow it? Why would a Bigfoot be any less of a creature than ex. a plantsim or robot?

As I understand it, they are thinking that a robot was made to emulate actual sims (as in the species). Vampires, werewolves, plantsims, and zombies all originate from sims (as a species). They are attempting to make it so that Bigfoot is from a completely different species that should not mix with sims. Or that's the idea I'm getting.

Generally, I'll be leaving my bigfoots in their natural habitat. Though one will have to go into the insane asylum, case of mistaken identity. The doctors will think he's delusional and mentally regressing without having an open enough mind to understand he's exactly what he looks like.  Tough luck for the poor guy. Oh, and I might have to give one to my mad scientist for experimentation purposes. Hmm, maybe the bigfoots won't be able to stay in the mountains afterall.

Dizi, that gives me an Idea, I'll use my bigfoot for the Asylum challenge, that could add an interesting twist to it all!

The question is, is he insane for acting like a Bigfoot or is he actually a Bigfoot and everyone just THINKS he's insane? A question for the ages...

Perhaps all the mind boggling questions shall be answered, I tackle the Asylum challenge this weekend! This could be interesting.

EAxis probably thought that any sexual/romantic interactions between Bigfoot and a human sim (or any other sim-life form, for that matter) would constitute bestiality, on account of his overly-hirsute appearance and the fact that he resembles an animal to an even greater extent than the other life forms. Well, that's my guess anyway.

Then again, if that were the case, then why was the game programmed to allow human sims to interact with werewolves in that manner, even if the werewolves are in their animal state? Yet another mind-boggler for you all to contemplate.

Okay this my sound silly but how do you send sims to the  insane asylum anyway? I've never done it?

I used insim. to make bigfoot and a neighbor woman fall in love & set flags to engaged.  When I clicked on the wedding arch they got married like normal sims (only bigfoot didn't wear clothes).  Now he can family kiss his wife.  I then used insim. for them to have a baby.  Bigfoot is excellent at baby care! It isn't everything I want for bigfoot interactions but it's better than nothing.

Damn, until now I was sure to find a female bigfoot one day on the mystery lot. Sure there isn't one? He has helped my sim-family to become and rich and beautiful, and now he'll stay alone until he dies?!

This can't be true. That's so unfair. And I want to have baby-bigfoots or I'll never play this game again :(

Well, I got Bigfoot when he followed my sim home from vacation and he did fall in love with her. But it was just a crush. And I had NO mods then and he did kiss her, once, but I'm not sure if that was a glitch. His name was Alon Bigfoot, I think. He also gave her a romantic hug once too, IDK why, she hated him.  :D Which leaves me all the more confused why she didn't push him off or yell at him like they usually do when they don't like a sim that likes them.

Why are you replying to a thread that has been dormant since September? For the record, if the last reply is over a month old, leave the thread alone to molder in its grave.
