76  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / What would you like to see In Sims3 on: June 27, 2007, 08:39:37 am
I'd love to see more dance animations such as the Flaminco, the Tango, the Waltz and the Time Warp.
(Dear God, what I wouldn't give for a Time Warp animation!)
I'd also love a new sport- skate/snow boarding in which a sim can become a pro skater and engage in a Tony Hawkes-esque mini-game.
More instruments would be nice - like harps, keyboards, kazooes, bongoes.etc. Also, I'd like to see a more visually friendly vampire. Dear god, those Maxis vamps are fugly as heck!
On that note: Elves, demons, devils, angels and centuars! More pet options- like scorpians, snakes, rats, vultures, elephants and other exotic animals.
Better underwater graphics for swimming and above all, NON FUGLY MAXIS CLOTHING/ HAIR!!!
77  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / My Neighbourhood is sinking lol on: June 21, 2007, 08:25:34 am
When I first saw this, I though that the weight of having a 1000+ sims to a neighbourhood was making it sink. *lols at mental image*
However, by the looks of things, it appears to be a corrupted neighbourhood straining memory. I agree with Chairman Greg- more ram might help.

82  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Grosub tree? on: June 19, 2007, 07:21:36 am
I've been having a problem in my game as of late, particularly when it comes to sims interacting romantically.
Everytime I have my selected sim click on his/her crush, a box pops up saying something along the lines of:
ERROR=bad grosub tree and the options "Cancel", "Delete" and "Reset". (I'll post a screencap tomorrow as I'm not on my home pc right now)

What follows is a mini-game freeze, though if I choose Reset, the game reverts to normal. This happens everytime I try to get two sims who are Going Steady/Engaged/Married or have a mutual crush on each other to interact. Also, I can't get them to relax- one sim will lay on the bed but as soon as the other attempts to, the damn error message keeps popping up.

Clicking on Rest causes them both to spring back to the standing positions at the front of the bed and as a result bof this glitch, they are unable to Woohoo, Make Out or Try For A Baby.

Same thing happens with the Hot Tub.

This has previously happened before when I had Pets installed but it didn't go away even after I uninstalled the EP and only disappeared when I went on a Download folder cull.
I know that it's potentially linked to my CC but the question is: WHAT?

I'm kind of a huge newb when it comes to using download organization software so I'm more than a bit bewildered by all this.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

If you're comfortable with it, sure but I think it'd be best to save it.
In my own experience, Writer's block usually follows after a preview..

I don't know about stretchskeleton, but for family funds, you need to enter it like so:

To add 100,000 Simoleons to the Smith family:

familyFunds Smith +100000

To subtract funds, just enter the amount with a minus sign.

If you have two families with the same surname, if you do this cheat from neighbourhood view, it might add it to the wrong one. I've had that happen and thought the cheat wasn't working. Meanwhile the other family were getting obscenely rich. LOL

ETA: I found this thread about stretchskeleton

Aaah! I didn't think of that one! *is dumb* Thanks for helping me out! I'll be sure to try this out post haste. Question, though: does the family funds cheat work on the Neighbour screen? I ask because it's so tedious creating a family and then having to move them to a vacent lot, 'motherloding' like crazy until I can afford the house I want.

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get! Here's part of the first chapter. Anyone who has feedback/criticism/prasie please give it to me! Be honest!

Chapter One

My mom had me doomed at the start. I feel kind of bad blaming her, because it wasn’t here fault she was such a klutz. Well, it was, but I feel a little better when I pretend it’s not.
I knew of several incidents where my parents tried to play that game where they throw the baby up in the air, baby squeals with delight, parents catch baby, and repeat. Well, my parents forgot about the low ceilings.
My parents, knowing I had a severe allergy to mosquitoes, let me go outside by a pond in the dead of summer, and just forgot about me. Needless to say, the results were nothing less than catastrophic when they finally remembered me and I couldn’t see them because my eyes were swollen shut.
On my third birthday, my parents took me to the pool. It’s always so much fun when everyone pushes the birthday girl in the pool and everyone laughs. I don’t think anyone expected me to hit my head on the shallow pool floor, where a trip to the ER was required to fix the gash in my head.
The worst part is that none of those are even the worst incidents. The absolute kicker occurred at a Target Sunday afternoon, where everyone goes and buys stuff after church. So of course it was completely packed. I do believe I was about six years old.
My mom decided she needed a box of tampons. The very box that was on the top shelf. My poor mom never reached even a height of 5’5 and there was no way with her short stub arms that she was going to reach it. She came up with the brilliant idea for me to get on her shoulders and I could get the box. Still, I could barely reach.
Bzzzzz. Bzzzzz. Bzzzzz. Mom looked down to her vibrating pocket, only to see her cell phone vibrating.
“Hurry, hurry,” she pleaded. “It might be an emergency.” I strained to reach the box.
All I got to say is that phone had a powerful vibrate. Mom began to shake as the phone’s vibrate got stronger. So, of course, me being on her shoulders, I began to vibrate along with her.
My hand shook as it tried to grab the box. “Hurry, hurry, hurry, I’m about to drop you,” Mom informed me. I frantically grabbed onto a box and my mom collapsed underneath me.
My first instinct was to grab the shelf. So picture this: a scrawny six year old girl holding onto a Target shelf while, get this, her mom doesn’t help her down, she answers her phone.
Poor me is hanging on, when an unsuspecting civilian passes by, humming and wheeling around his squeaky cart, when he passes the feminine hygiene aisle and sees me hanging of the shelf while the lady next to me jabbers on the phone.
“Ma’am,” the man stammered to my mom. “I think, I think your daughter needs some help.” He looked very helpless and obviously didn’t know what to do.
Mom rolled her eyes. “I hadn’t noticed,” she said sarcastically. She closed the phone, looked at me, and laughed. “Um, you can get down now,” she told me impatiently.

*grins* Now that's a story I'd like to read more of! Good use of language-it's fluid and really draws the reader in. It's humour and interesting too-I can't wait to find out what happens!

This might come across as a silly query but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the "familyFunds" and "stretchSkeleton" cheats to work.
It might be that I'm inputting the codes wrong but I'm completly at a loss.
I'm especially anxious to do the stetchSkeleton as I really want to create an army of mini zombies for a story but no combination of letters or numbers seems to work.

Please help?:happy8:

Hey Shastania, maybe you could use photobucket or some other photo hosting service for your pics instead of attaching them all, that way it isn't taking up too much space on the forum. Just a suggestion since you post so many pictures. Smiley

^_^ ; Sorry 'bout that! I have a Sim Album up on my photobucket account but I think I'm close to breaching my limit.
Thanks for the suggestion, though. I've heard Flickr is pretty good.. >.>
