1  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Wolf ? on: November 20, 2008, 12:29:39 am
Hey Fibsy, your English is just fine! Now, once you see the wolf (if it's the Leader of the Pack), you can be nice to it, pet it, feed it treats, play with it, let it eat your chairs, and if it likes you well enough, it can turn your Sim into a Werewolf (if you have Pets). Let us know how it works out!
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What have you done with your default sims? on: November 19, 2008, 12:01:33 am
I've fallen in love with Mary-Sue Pleasant. This time (after I had to wipe my hard drive clean and lost everything) she's become a doctor and Good Witch. She and Daniel live together, though once Angela and Lilith moved to college (they're getting along nicely, thank you) he went off and fell in love with Dina (everyone hates Don), while she and Kaylynn are quite an item. However, Kaylynn's gonna move in with another Sim soon, so I can make her playable.
Before that she and Daniel were racking up the conquests, Lilith ran away from home, and I ended up killing them all. Then after I ressurected them, Daniel and Angela (Miss Goody Two-Shoes) moved out-he became a Knowledge Sim, flirted with becoming a Plantsim, and just settled down with Elle Cox. Mary-Sue became an Evil Witch, slept with the entire Kim family, stole Cassandra's heart, and generally became a cackling green-hued terror. Kaylynn moved in with Sheridan Patchwerk and they had a fine life together.
Now I've just created two clones, Angie and Lily Pleasant (bless you, SimPE!), and they've moved into Academie Le Tour next door to the real Pleasant sisters. Can't wait to see what happens...

Toddlers sleeping in Pet besd is a new addition to AL (and a very useful one too, I might add).
How did you get your Sim to die from satellite? Did he/she kick the Garden Gnome before Cloud/Star watching? I've heard that helps. I'm thinking of speeding Mortimer Goth on to the great unknown that way...

I've never built an apartment, so I'm wondering if you can do some landscaping? If you have some trees on your lot you have a better chance of having a wolf drop by. You could always leave a pet dish full of food out too (of course, you'll attract all the dogs and cats in the neighborhood as well).
Be careful what you wish for. When you start to get friendly with the wolves, they'll come into your house and eat your furniture!  Seriously, I've had the LOTP tear up sofas and beds.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / whats your fave part of AL so far? on: October 30, 2008, 09:37:08 am
New interactions, the two new kisses (Dance and Suck Face), and witches. Love them witches!
Haven't made an apartment. Don't really want to.

There's "Classic Dance," which is nice, and the new kisses, "Suck Face" and "Dance." The new Townie types, with their specific greetings and "Tell Story" interactions are a lot of fun. And of course all the cool stuff your Sim can get-new phone numbers, electronics, jobs, and once, a blind date fell out of the sky right next to Mary-Sue!
7  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / This is nuts - Easy Money on: October 06, 2008, 09:56:46 pm
I try not to motherlode or kaching if I can help it. I used to buy the "Flowing Waters" picture (or whatever it was called) for $300 and then sell it back after midnight for $2000, or the Dream Catcher ($50 buy, $1760 sellback), but those don't seem to work. It's to the point now where I actually have to get some of my Sims jobs! Luckily, if you're reputation is high enough and you correctly schmooze the right Sim, you'll be offered a job at around Level 5-you get the Aspiration benefit first thing and some handy salary.
Who knows-maybe there's another painting out there that you can buy cheap and sell dear the next day.
8  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Witch Spells...a dissapointment? on: October 06, 2008, 09:51:27 pm
Drawboom, I'm having the exactly opposite setup. Don Lothario (actually Goth, now) keeps coming up to her and slapping her around for sleeping with Cassandra. She's thrown some low level spells at him, but next time it's Tabula Rasa, I swear.

I've found that the Good Witch and the Evil Witch pretty much act the same. Sheridan's friends with both of them and she's Infallibly Good. No hostility at all. The only thing they autonomously do is muck up the Lot (Evil) or make it pretty when they arrive. Mary-Sue mucks up her Lot and Lilith Pleasant goes nuts, stamping out all the cockroaches! But that's about it.
One spell that I miss: my witches can instantly teleport a Sim to their Lot, anytime, no matter what the Sim is doing. Nice, but it'd be nicer if they could then teleport the Sim away when they're done with them. Or maybe enslave them. Or turn them into a womrat.
9  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Witch Spells...a dissapointment? on: October 06, 2008, 11:36:51 am
I'm pretty disappointed with Mary-Sue Pleasant The Atrociously Evil Witch. She can't kill anyone (and she's got a couple of people on that list), she can't make people like her like Sheridan Patchwerk The Infallibly Good Witch can (what, Evil Witches don't want lovers?).
I'm finding that most of the stuff I want to do with my witches I can either accomplish with a boolprop cheat or the Voodoo Doll from Twikki Island.
Pets into Humans would be great. Killing Sims would be nice (though probably against Maxis policy, I suppose). Hypnosis, change Sim (a la the Aspiration thingie that allows you to change your appearance)...oh, there's lots of stuff.
And why doesn't the Evil Spectral Assistant clean Mary-Sue's house? Scared it'd drive the roaches away?
