Post by: caffeinated.joy on May 09, 2008, 01:55:12 pm Since I can't see anything in there giving information about the error itself, it's hard to say what the problem is. The first thing I always do is pull out my downloads folder and play the game without CC installed. If it works fine without it, then you have something in your CC causing the problem.
Title: FreeTime random crashing can you help? Post by: dreamcatchermwh on May 09, 2008, 03:21:03 pm Yes, and unfortunatly i think i'll have to uninstall all and do a cleanup uninstall . Then reinstall all the sims 2 again. I will then play with no cc. Then i will slowly reintroduce cc.
Unless some one else has a better and easy way to resolving this. I also forgot to mention when the crashing first began, i started reading all my game logs each crash and there seems to be a couple of sims that i made in the sim bin were reported to be corrupted because i still had insm inuse. I have since removed insim but not the families. I suppose i could try deleting those families first to see what happens, before i do this drastic uninstalling and reinstalling. What do you think? Thank you in advance. O.k. now i didn't have to uninstall all eps and stuff packs just FreeTime. and then i reinstalled. First removing downloads folder.Then i played game and i played the game and there was no crashing.So the next day i went through and cleaned out my downloads folder, only keeping hair and make up , hair recolours and the meshes. It took three hours with the help with Delphy's download organizer Wew! So now problem resolved.Game plays wonderfully with no hacks and with no custom objects.And i deleted all custom clothing and the meshes for them and i very much miss my bb and huge builder's shape, and i miss fashion model shape ;-( Now i got Kitchen & Baths interior design stuff packs and game crashed on me.I go to EA.com and this stuffs pack is apperantly one big mess,i'm so dissapointed.Should i unistall it and wait for a patch? |
