Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / this is a weird one...
|

Here's the thing... You have to have The Sims 2 installed in order to use BodyShop, because it collects its custom content from the Downloads folder for the game itself.
I don't know if it will work, but one thing you can try is tricking Body Shop into thinking you have the game installed by creating the folder that it's programed to look into. If you want to try this, you'll want to create any folders you don't have in the following chain:
C:\Documents and Settings\ProfileNameHere\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
You won't have any of the base game meshes, but, theoretically, custom meshes might work. If not, I'm afraid you're stuck trying to find that base game.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / celeb sims.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but it's sometimes helpful to scroll down the page. If you did so, you would discover that right at the top of the "Community Downloads" section of the forums is a lovely little forum titled "Celebrity Sims" that has a huge collection of celebrity sims for download.
If there's a specific celebrity that you want and you can't find them, post a request in the "Requests" forum, including pictures of the celebrity.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Celebrities / Fetish Model - Isobel Marion
|
on: January 29, 2007, 08:34:41 pm

So... I doubt anyone here's ever heard of her, but Isobel Marion is one of the most beautiful, sexy women alive, in my opinion...So, I decided to Sim her! I think I use her face as the base for about half the female Sims I make. Enjoy! CREDITS: Skin by Louis Eyes by 3dConsortium Make-up by RenSim and Liegenschonheit Eyebrows by (If you recognise your work, please let me know and I'll give credit) Sim does NOT include pictured hair and clothing, but is packaged with base-game hair and clothing, created by Maxis. Pictured hair is by Nouk, and although the pictured dress is by Pestix, I can't find the link to it. Enjoy!

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Beauty marks?
|
on: January 28, 2007, 01:21:27 am

I think this would go better in the Where Can I Find...? forum. But, since it's here, I'll be nice. There's some here, and I can't find it right now, but I have a collection of birth marks in my game (different placings of multiple "beauty" marks).

Who knew fighting was so ummm....well I'm not sure what it is in that photo, but it makes you wonder and me giggle. Once my game glitched and the covers disappeared while two sims were Woohooing... It looks about the same as fighting. Terrifying.

Oi.... I've gotten some "interesting" pictures while taking shots for contests. Never, EVER, remove Sims from their little fight cloud. I think Rover is losing... Eris's reaction when my game glitched and Momus, her brother, started flirting with her.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / I can't figure it out
|

To open and extract .rar and .zip files, you WILL need a program that allows you to do so.. The easiest program I've used is WinRAR. Go here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htmAnd download WinRAR 3.62. While it says it's a trial, I've been able to extract files long after the trial time has run up. Just install the program, and then go to the file you want to extract from, and right click the file, then select "Extract files..." and have them go to your Downloads folder (My Documents\ \EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads).
After that, you'll want to make sure that the files didn't extract as Sims2Packages. Go to the Downloads folder and install any of these files as you would something you got from the Exchange.

Honestly, I don't know how many people have heard of her, but I adore her music. The latest work I can refer to is that she had a song playing during the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers end credits. She's the first of a series I'm planning on doing of the wonderful ladies that constantly blast from my car stereo.
Enjoy!
