Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Sims Size or Resolution

Here's something for you to try...
1. Right click on your desktop.
2. Go to the properties tab at the bottom and select it.
3. In properties, select the settings tab.
4. In settings, increase your screen resolution to 1280 x 960. This is the standard resolution for most monitors.
5. Select apply, then ok and you should see everything on your screen get a bit smaller, but a lot more crisp looking.
The problem with new monitors on new PCs are that they haven't been optimized yet. All they do in manufacturing is check if the monitor itself is working. You have to set the resolution yourself. Hopefully this helps you out some.

I've got mine so sorted out that my husband complains and says he wishes the house were that organized...
I sorted my DL folder out back in 07. Took me a week to get it organized. Now everything is sorted by month, with all files from before 07 in 1 massive folder. Makes it a lot easier when I DL a bad mesh as well, because It's in the most recent folder, so all I have to do is remove that folder, find the culprit and get rid of it. Here's a new one to add to the topic... When you try to figure out what bodyshape people are by looking at them. (I myself am a Bear BB )

If I went into the many, many, MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNY reasons why TS2 is plain and simply a more superior creative experience then it's follow up, I'd be sitting here until midnight typing. Instead, I'll truncate things by saying that from a creative standpoint, TS2 offers more then TS3 will ever have. Even now to this day, people are still bangin' out awesome CC for TS2, at a higher regularity then they do for TS3. There are more tools available for creators and more freedom to use those tools. Sims are more then just virtual avatars, they are expressions of the creator's inner being. You can gather a lot about a person in how they create their sims, because it shows what said person perceives the world around them as. The Sims Community at large exists because of TS2. The game itself is a piece of Video Gaming history. You have console, mainstream games that have borrowed from the formula of TS2 in you being able to turn the world the game exists in into whatever you wish it to be. On that alone, let alone the many other reasons I'm not bringing up, TS2 is the one and only Sims game I'll ever play. Unless TS4 is a groundbreaking work of technical genius that is. (And I'm not exactly holding my breath on that one...)

There are many, MANY reasons why I love your sims, Nicole. But the biggest reasons are because much like me, you gear your creations to be more urban, obviously reflecting where you yourself come from. And more so then that, you...much like me, use a plethora of bodyshapes. You capture the essence of beauty in it's many shapes and sizes. That's what I admire the most about your sims. STUNNING job on Scarlett Rose. That's doing the Classic Pinup bodyshape some serious justice. The ink work is absolutely awesome. If her or Akira ever become available for download, I'll be grabbing the up pronto. Can't wait to see more of your work.

@ Allesetery: Sedrick looks like the type of guy who has to fight females off with a broadsword, forget about a stick...lol. Very nice. @NicoleRaye: I doubt Dante will be single for long. Here's one of my newest fellas, created for the Hunk Of The Month contest over on Oasis, Mr. Aaron Cash All ink done by myself, of course.

When you cross the milestone of having 50GB of CC. Yes...50GBs. Good thing I have a Terabyte of storage (That's 1024 GB for the tech-illiterate). Still, 50GB of data that's simply TS2 CC is nuts. Granted, this is all accumulative from 2007 when I 1st learned about CC. And what's sad? I'm still looking for more.
No wonder it takes 35 minutes for my game to load...LMAO!

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Skintones / Bodybuilder Girl RIP'D by Kaoz666
|
on: July 10, 2010, 12:34:31 pm

Part of my ongoing project of breathing new life to one of the most unique, yet seldom used female bodyshapes, Marvine's Bodybuilder Girl. Like many of the more abstract bodyshapes out there, there's very little, if any CC available for them. Especially as far as genetics go. There's the original showerproof skintones, and 5-6 recolors over on Back Alley Sims...and that's it. What bothered me for a while is the fact that none of the skins captured the essence of what the shape should be. When you look at the male counterparts, Slim BB, BB and Huge BB, the skintones are bulging with realistic muscle textures. Whereas all of the BBG skins are smooth with almost no muscle texturing... Until now.I started working on these skins in March, and after on again-off again working on them, they're complete and ready for consumption. A skintone that offers some light muscle definition without being as deep and detailed as the male BB skins. Your BBGs will retain their builds from YA to Elder, they're showerproof, so they'll keep their shape when the clothes come off. *chuckles* Males will retain the Maxis bodyshape, but if anyone wants to perhaps link my skins to other bodyshapes (Like the male BB shapes) feel free to do so, just link back to this thread. The rar contains all three tones. If you're grabbin' them, I'm sure you've already stocked up on BBG fashions like I have over the years, but those new to the shape can find some clothes for her... HereHere(The outfits shown in the pics is athletic wear I'll be releasing in the near future) And on Back Alley Sims and Gay Sims Club, both require registration to download their goods. Enjoy the skintones, folks.

Here's one of my all time fave guys who I, like Joy, have posted a couple times in this thread in the past, Michael Bruno. Mike was the 1st HBB I ever made back in 2007. For years I left Mike untouched. But when most of my other male sims started looking better then him, the time came to give him a wholesale makeover. Here's some old shots of Mike from 2008. And here's what present day Mike looks like. New skintone, facial reconstruction and a new quaff (Hairstyle for you folks just waking up) and Mikey looks better then ever.
