Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / My Forest Maidens Painting Set- Julia and Eugenia
|

Hi, all, and welcome back to InSIM. I am so glad the site is back up now, even if it is under a slightly different name. To commemorate our return here, I am posting my new paintings, a set which I titled "Forest Maidens". The sims in the paintings are my sister sims, Julia(left side painting) and Eugenia(right side painting) Hobbes. I created them using "A Sim Noir Print" that comes with Glamour Life Stuff, so you will need that SP for them to show up in your game. They are made to be hung with the women facing each other, hence the "left" and "right" reference above. Sims made by me, photos taken in game by me, paintings created by me. Yay, me. lol. Enjoy. As always, my creations are okay to upload to any FREE site. Just please be sure to give me proper credit and link back to this page. No pay sites and NEVER, EVER upload anything of mine to The Exchange( http://www.thesims2.com).

Finally managed to make a starter with a starter price. lol. Mostly cuz I cheated(not really) and made recolors of some Maxis build pieces and set the price at "0" for those. I don't feel guilty, tho, because lots of people do that. In this lot, all three of the inner floors are recolors by me of the gray Maxis cement flooring. I believe it is called "Sid's Cement" or something like that. I also changed the tile pattern on it so that now instead of a 1x1 tile, it is set for 5x5, which makes the floor look more like large cement slabs, which I love. The red is sort of bright, but the white and black spots make it look like a painted cement floor with the paint wearing off, IMO. I also love the blue and green recolors of the same floor I did. On the outside, the washed out siding with the palest blue color is my recolor of Maxis' Simply Siding in "Salt". I also did a green recolor, which is a bit brighter than the blue but has that same washed out appearance.
The price for this lot, unfurnished, is $16,814 as is. If this lot gets good enough feedback, I am hoping to upload it to MTS2 as soon as my upload restriction is over. Does anyone know how long those usually last?
Once again I have used one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside Residential Mini Lots, the 2x1. They are great for building the really small houses I do sometime. They also keep you(me) from making the house too large, thus going over the $20,000 starter price limit.
PS - If you are going to use my recolors in your uploads, my policy is that you must NEVER, EVER upload anything of mine to The Exchange, or to any pay sites. Free sites are cool as long as you give proper credit. Enjoy

UPDATE - I am considering using this 'hood to create a custom town, with all new custom houses, community lots, etc, created by me specifically for this "town". I would like to hear if there is an interest in such a thing before I spend a lot of time on it.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Remodelled Warehouse #2 - NEWLY UPDATED LOT
|

I really like this. You've done a great job. Thank you. The reason for the updates were to make the lot more appealing and workable, of course, but I also discovered after uploading the original that there was a PlumBob hack that had attached itself to the lot. I removed it from the new version and have since removed my HACKS folder from my game. That way this will not happen again when I am creating. My apologies. If anyone has any problem with hacks in my previous lots, please let me know so I can fix the problem.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Remodelled Warehouse #2 - NEWLY UPDATED LOT
|
on: November 21, 2008, 08:55:07 am

Okay, friends, here is my long-awaited second in my Remodelled Warehouse series(or perhaps not so long, lol). This one is also built on one of Aelflaed's Sunnyside Mini Residential Lots you can get here: http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=251798It is a one bedroom, 1 1/2 bath small warehouse with a balcony outside the second floor kitchen and dining area. First floor is living room and half bath. Third floor is bedroom and full bath with tub/shower combo and toilet. CC all comes from olemantiker's Ole Factory Set here on InSIM: http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11419Thanks to olemantiker for making such great factory style build materials. They work so well with my remodels. As I said earlier, these lots seem to be becoming a set, and I am considering making my #3 in the series a larger lot, a remodelled warehouse apartment building. That one will probably take a long time, but stay tuned.... I would love to hear your feedback on this lot. NOTE ON NEW UPDATE: I made some changes to this lot, so I reuploaded the whole thing. Now there is only one driveway piece, as the other was taking up too much space, IMO. I also added a fence from the same olemantiker set, along with some landscaping. I then took new, better photos. For those of you who have already downloaded the previous version, please take a look at the new one and let me know what you think.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Neighborhoods / Sharkbat Cove
|

Hi, guys, here is another SC4 terrain I made in SimCity4. I called it Sharkbat Cove (actually, my twin bro gave me the name for it) and it is another small-ish neighborhood, island/valley type. Sorry if the photos of the 'hood are not that great, but I did the best I could. When I tried to get a really great photo and pressed TAB to get rid of the user interface, the entire neighborhood disappeared. I think it may have something to do with my neighborhood camera hack. Oh, well. I think you can see pretty well in these pics, but if not, let me know and I will try to take more.
