Title: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 09:29:27 am (http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z345/Bubbles1321/Babiesinbodyshop.jpg)
Yes, that is indeed a baby. I wouldn't suggest doing it, I was doing simsurgery and exported the wrong Taylor Fellows. [It was late, I wasn't paying attention, then I realised, and tried another baby, that's the girl you see.] All you can do is change babies skintones, that's it. And, you can preview how they'll turn out later in life. [you can't change it, but you can see.] Again, I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS. I was just showing how I thought it was funny. Do they show up with the current defaults you've got in? Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 09:49:48 am Yeah.
Both ones you made. There's a problem with the 'hair' not showing up, but babies shouldn't even be there in the first place, so I don't think it counts as a glitch. Could work for outfit texture testing... or something along those lines (and remove baby files before going ingame, of course - don't want any borkiness there) Textures in Milkshape is annoying at best, and 3D max has this annoying little thing where the texture shows up blurry, and I've got to render a picture to see the proper texture (I don't always bother to change the settings). Ingame just takes too long... Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 09:56:22 am Yeah, but it depends which program takes you longer to load, Bodyshop or the game. :/
edit. I guess that answered it XD *goes to get a tutorial set up* Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: Theraven on March 03, 2011, 10:00:26 am I very rarely run a full Bodyshop (takes hours to start with all the clutter I've got in there - probably have over 10 gigs of bodyshop stuff). Either I run it with a bunch of base files I use for game testing/bodyshop use - or I only put in the files I need, for spesific clothing projects. When I've opened it once, which takes around 5-10 minutes, it only takes a couple or three minutes to open it again.
Then again, I've got so much practice with infant outfits by now that I rarely have to test them several times... When I say I'm gonna "test" an outfit, I usually mean "take an ingame pic before uploading it". Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 10:02:22 am Ah.
setting up a tutorial on how to get babies in bodyshop, incase anyone's interested. :P Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: Theraven on March 03, 2011, 10:07:32 am Just remember to put up a warning that it's not recommended for players inexperienced in SimPE and the like to do something like this. Some people are just too stu...*cough*... ignorant to realize something could damage their game if they don't have a clue what they're doing.
Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 10:09:38 am Yeah, I know.
*cough is totally one of those cough* Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: Theraven on March 03, 2011, 10:20:12 am I think the reason their hair isn't showing up, is that they don't really have hair to begin with. They've got a skull part, but for all the other ages, this part is a part of the hair. For the babies, it's some sort of overlay mesh, over the skull. It's complicated, and I don't know the basics since I wasn't the one who made the default hair files...
Title: Re: Babies in Bodyshop... Post by: MissBubbles on March 03, 2011, 10:25:03 am Hmm.
It's like that when you plan their outfits, too. :/ Not in body shop, ingame. thought I'd clarify. |
