Title: make community into residential? HELP!
Post by: mieley on January 22, 2008, 10:55:27 pm
i have this grocery store by plasticbox at MTS2 that i downloaded and put into one of my hoods. it is a community lot. but, it seems like it should be a home-bussiness because on the top floor is a little kitchen and bedroom. its almost like someone should be living there and i would love it as a home bussiness. but i cant figure out how to change a premade lot into a residential. it doesn't give an option to pick community or residential when i put the lot in the hood from my lots bin, like it says when you put a new empty lot. im assuming its because there is already something on it.

does anyone know if theres a way for me to make this lot residential? i have all EPs except university installed. i do have uni if required to do this tho and i can install it =].

You have to type "changeLotZoning residential" (without the quotes), into the cheat box (I believe its brought up by the Ctrl+C keystrokes).

you may also need a mailbox and trashcan, which you can find here

http://daydream.etowns.net/S2hacked.htm

if you don't have BV- download the collection file and put it in your collections folder.  you may, depending on which expansion packs you have, have to access the collection in Build Mode (as opposed to buy mode.)

If you have BV, download the buyable trashcan and mailbox (you'll have to place these in your downloads folder.)
