16  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Dogs / Yorkshire Terrier Mix on: April 10, 2008, 09:36:06 pm
This is my version of one of my favorite dog breeds, the yorkshire terrier, or yorkie.  I think they're not only adorable dogs, but also well-rounded.  However, I couldn't find any uploads that were satisfactory to me, so I made my own.

Unfortunately, the tools for creating pets in TS2 aren't quite powerful enough to get that "yorkie" feel.  The legs are too long, and the fur too short.  So we'll just have to live with a yorkie mix for now.  Smiley

Enjoy!

Is it just me, or is a lot of that description just saying the same thing over and over? Like, the Modern Bath Designs and Bathroom of your Dreams is the exact same point, just one is focused more towards contemporary design and the other towards romantic.

Hey, thanks!  I never remember to surf the sites to see what the next thing is going to be ... oh, well!  By the way, your link doesn't work, despite the fact that it's correct.  I think the ...'s are getting in the way.  You might want to try linking it to a word or something instead.

I'm not going to decide if I buy this or not yet.  After all, all we have to go on right now is a title.  There could be some really kick@$$ sets in there, that just make your jaw drop, although I doubt it.  I'm pretty satisfied with the kitchen and bathroom sets Maxis has so far.  I'd rather see them do more internationally-themed stuff packs, like we got in BV.  We got a lot of Asian, rustic, and tropical stuff.  Other EP's have also given us country, and quite a bit of Morocco.  Cool.  Now lets have some other European -- Spanish, French, German, etc.  How about some Russian?  That's a little out there, I know, but what about some more African?  They could actually cram all that in one stuff pack, if they just picked about three locations, had about fifteen from each scattered around the house, etc.
19  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Lost Game Code! on: September 07, 2007, 06:20:05 am
Sharpie on Disc One was exactly what I did.  Although I think that, if it's a two-disc set, on Disc Two might be a better idea.  So you can read it while the other is in the CD tray.

Thanks so much!  That link to EA account page is exactly what I was looking for.
21  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Lost Game Code! on: September 05, 2007, 10:19:48 pm
I know there's someone out there savvy enough to help me .... Okay, I was downloading all my stuff onto my new computer, when I noticed that I'm missing the booklet (and, hence, the game code) for H&M Stuff.  I am at wit's end here trying to find it -- I read BBB's FAQ thread, but I think EA and/or TS2 have changed their layout since that article was written.  I'm sure not seeing any info about the games, except at the bottom of my profile, and the only thing that does is, when clicked on, takes me to the generic info page of that EP / Stuff pack!  Not very helpful.  That key unlocker program is corrupted.  I even used the system registry thing, to no avail.  Help!  If it helps, I still have complete access to my laptop, on which H&M is still uploaded and running strong, and will stay that way until I get this resolved.
22  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Change Lot Size Cheat? on: August 14, 2007, 06:35:05 am

I encountered your problem with a house I build too near a property line. I used something called "LotExpander." Wonderful little program.

Thanks so much, Scrooge11!  I've downloaded it.

That is the one I was thinking of  thank you for the link Scrooge.  But it has not been updated for the Pet or Seasons ep.

You're right, it isn't.  But a guy named Sorcerer has been updating it for each expansion pack.  Link to the updated program is on the page, or for Seasons, here:

There is no cheat code that does that but there is a mod a mts2 permitting you to do that.

Unfortunately, it has not been updated for the Pet or Seasons ep.

I think someone asked for it on this site not long ago.  I am not using this mod and do not remember who made it unfortunately.

Which would explain why I was having such a hard time finding it.  I was searching for cheat codes.  Oh, well; I'll just find a lot the size I want, level it, then start putting stuff on it.

Thanks, MissDoh!
24  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Change Lot Size Cheat? on: August 13, 2007, 09:51:17 pm
I know this information is online somewhere, probably staring me right in the face, but I'll be durned if I can find it.  I've looked here, on MTS2, on SnootySim's awesome list of cheats, even on Sims2Wiki.  No luck.  So:

Does anyone know the cheatcode to change the size of a lot?
25  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misses / EP ONLY: Formal: Wedding Dress with silver accents on: March 30, 2007, 07:42:14 am
Quote from: Mandie;655934
It's for teens, but I'm sure it could be easily adapted for adults.  It would probably look better too, since there are so many meshes to choose from.

Agreed.  Hmmmm ... Do I have your permission to convert it?  I'd be more than happy to send you the finished result, since I wouldn't have done much work, so you could upload it in your name.  Wink

Wonderful job!  ^_^  One question: you keep talking about teen weddings, especially in your other threads, is this dress for teens or adults?
27  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Traditional-Style Farmhouse (for Seasons) on: March 21, 2007, 09:13:54 am
LOL, yeah.  The truck doesn't come with, I just put that in there for some of the screenshots so you could see where the driveway was.  I suppose I should have made that a little more clear ...

Thanks, Squinge!  Yet another mod that I didn't even know I needed.  Wink

By the way, which one's which?  What's the difference between #3 and #5?

Thanks!  Cheesy  It's the house I'm currently using, and it's wonderful.  Just the perfect size!
30  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Traditional-Style Farmhouse (for Seasons) on: March 18, 2007, 06:12:25 pm
I live in Virginia (USA), an area rich in heritage and history.  And farmhouses.  Especially in the rural areas (such as the one I live in), old farmhouses are a dime a dozen.  I wanted to recreate that for the Sims, the history combined with just enough modern convenience to make it comfortable.  Wink

The rooms are small, I know.  This is to preserve the authentic, old farmhouse feel.  (Most of these houses were originally hand-made by the very family who was going to live in it, who also gathered their own material and supplied their own labor and everything, so naturally it isn't a monster).  This also has the added benefit of making it cheap enough to be a starter home.

You need Seasons and Nightlife (it includes a driveway).  Other than that, you should be fine.  The absolute worse thing I can think of is that I used a wall or floor that was in one of the other EP's, in which case the game will put another wall up.  If you're like me, the first thing you do is go in and put up your own walls and floors anyway, lol.  I painted it a nice, earthy yellow because Maxis didn't make any good whites.

Title: Old Farmhouse
Size: 2 x 2
Stats: 3 bed, 2 bath
Furnished: no
Price: §18,210

You need: Roddyaleixo's 'Invisible Driveway & Extensions' found [here]

That should be it!  Wink  And yes, those are plots for planting in the back, ten of them.  And that pond is deep enough for fishing.

Edit: okay, so I believe that I didn't make it clear before, so I'll clear it up now.  This house comes with no furniture.  No phones, no lights, no motor cars.  The truck is just there to show you where the driveway is (it being invisible and all), the rest is to give it an actually lived in look.  It does, however, come with the plants.  Basically, what you see in that first screenshot is what you get.
