It's beautiful!  I'd really like to download it, but the download link on your homepage is broken.  :dontknow:

Hmm, must've been a momentary server glitch. I just downloaded both versions ok. Thanks for mentioning it though, in case it had been an error on my part

Thanks for the comments! I really labored over this one for over 2 weeks!
48  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Sea Breeze Heights - third in my Maxis only series on: September 29, 2006, 10:06:00 am

Sea Breeze Heights is perfectly situated on a 2x2 lot and makes the most out of the space available. For only $145k this San Francisco style home includes a driveway, an outdoors entertaining area, basement, and first and second floors. A luxury master bedroom/bath suite makes every day feel like a vacation. 2 BR, 3 BA

Only 11 bushes on the lot, and all can be trimmed by either your gardening-loving sims or a gardener. Lot has been playtested by a couple with a baby for almost 2 sim weeks. Though no baby toys are included, they can be placed either in the single BR or downstairs in the downstairs hall area.

No custom content other than the three maxoid_monkey items I included in the package. These items were all free on the Sims 2 official site . No family. No hacks.

51  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Aurora Road - Second in my Maxis-Only Items house series on: September 12, 2006, 07:22:12 pm
Built on a 3x2 lot to maximize gameplay for those with less than robust computers, Aurora Road features a ground floor nursery, study, 4 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a balcony overlooking the dining area, and a beautiful side courtyard. The style is contemporary with a nod to IKEA.

Landscaping is all accessible to the gardener, but it often will take him until 3 pm to finish it all, but finish he will.

An unfinished basement is perfect for those career and aspiration rewards as your family succeeds.

Thank you so much. I'm so glad others think its playable, because that really was what I was going for.. playability, maxis only (so everyone can access it) and aesthetics.

I do have another house I'm just finishing up. So hopefully in the next day or two, I'll post it here.

Thank you all! I feel so pleased Smiley

I'm finishing/testing another maxis only furnished house right now.

I usually just lurk here, but I love looking and downloading everyone's creations. I have uploaded this on MTS2 and the exchange, but maybe someone here will also appreciate it.

Swanson House was created and playtested during the 10 kid challenge. Its a 3x3 lot for $121K. There is room for your career and aspiration rewards (basement for energizers and mechanical looking rewards and left side of the house for obstacle course/punching bag/golf rewards). Tables near skilling items for your thinking caps. Space for 6 in twin beds, space for 2 in cribs, and 1 double bed. All landscaping requiring gardening is accessible and can be completed by the gardener by early afternoon. There is a permanent "birthday cake table" in the dining room near the basment stairs. Kids come home from school and dump their homework back there too. The right side of the house, back near the pond, would make a lovely location for a wedding arch.

No custom content. No family. No hacks. Cleaned with clean installer prior to packaging.

Lot is very playable for even a very large family. One of my pet peeves is to download a beautiful house then find it isn't very playable. This one is. I playtested it for weeks doing my 10 kid challenge. If I can raise 10 kids there, so can you!

You'll have to add phones. I was having trouble with the packaged lot if I left the phones in.

"plan outfit: maternity: was an option. however, it didn't work correctly. When my sim got pregnant, she stayed in whatever she was wearing, but then there was no option on any dresser (I made sure to be using a maxis one) for her to plan outfit everyday, or to change into everyday. So once the first bump appeared, my sim was trapped in whatever she happened to be wearing.

also, the option for pajamas had disappeared from my dresser pie menu.

I tested what was causing the error by doing the following. I took out my monique's computer from mts2, since it has shop online functions, and the simboutique by christianlov mentioned above. Then I used insiminator (object, not global) to impregnant a sim, and accelerrated a pregnancy so I could see if the dresser worked. It did. So I put Monique's computer back in (nonglobal) and tried it again, and it still worked. So I concluded that the simboutique, which I just put in 10 days ago or so, was the problem.

However, I am also using a different version of the pregnancy hack I think. Just in case I had a corrupt one, I downloaded it from MTS2, rather than from here. It's possible I was using the wrong version of that.

I know its best to isolate one variable at a time, but damn I was getting tired of the 6 minute long game load times Smiley

this isn't a complaint, just info

christianlov for mts2 has an object, Sim Boutique Clothing Rack, that conflicts with this.

Once I figured out my problem, it made sense.

does this satisfy the want for these parties?

this is awesome. I've soo wanted to just have a party hall, rather than redecorating my house everytime i want a party.
58  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / blue screen on: April 12, 2006, 01:20:53 pm
Ok, I played pretty much all day Monday with no weirdnesses. The 3 things I did Monday before starting up game.

1) Checked my bios settings at my dh's suggestion. My video card type was set incorrectly (was set at pci). I changed it to agp.

2) And my aperature was set at 64 mb. I set it to 128. However, then when I tried to load sims, it wouldn't load. Then got an error message with no text, just a red circle with an X.

3) So then I deleted the groups.cache file from the Sims folder and then played pretty much all day Monday without trouble.

I haven't had a chance to play again since though

*sigh*

Its not fixed after all. I played for not even an hour last night and got the bluescreen/hourglass thing.
59  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / blue screen on: April 09, 2006, 10:22:37 pm
I've been dealing with this since I installed the OFB patch. I have an Nvidia GeForce 66oo GT. I had to begin with, drivers from February. To try and fix it, I installed newest drivers from March. Still had problem. So then I uninstalled, used Driver Cleaner Pro, and installed drivers from last August, 7801. Instead of the blue screen/hourglass, now after a bit, I get a "screenshake" problem. The game still plays in the background, however, I cannot see it progress as I have boxes and menus shaking all over my screen.

Today I even removed all my custom content and it still happened. I went back to using my disk, rather than other methods. I went to  81.95 driver. Then it appeared fixed so i added back in my custom content, and then my game went back to doing the bluescreen/hourglass thing.

I'm about 90% certain this ONLY appeared after I installed the OFB patch. I don't recall having any trouble prior to that.

I have an Athlon 64 3200+
1 GB crucial memory (that I have tested with memtest 86)
Nvidia 6600GT
ASrock mobo with onboard sound and nic
SATAII hard drive
Win XP Pro with all updates
I run MS spyware, AVG virus overnight and online Trend Micro once a month. I opened up my case last Friday to make sure I didn't have dust/fan/heat issue. Since this system was rebuilt in December, it wasn't very dusty.

This is driving me insane. It really is.

Thanks so much! I was inordinately pleased when I saw this today. I'm currently breastfeeding my 5th baby, so I wasn't very pleased with being forced to use bottles in Maxisland.
