It won't actually stop the game from making lightbulb appear in the icon of the Sim they are attracted too, right? (I don't want that to go away but the sound and swoon is annoying).

Can't it just be deleted from within the game instead?  Or was that option disable with OFB?  I remember reading something about recolors but I wonder if it would apply to a complete new object too?

Simply because the alien ware was made by MaxoidMonkey when the original game was out and it was never updated by Maxis to be usable with EP1 and above.

Did you edited your community lot and place that new computer on those lots and delete the old ones?  If you didn't it will never work.

I know some people are using it and it seem to work fine in their game.  I don't personally use it though so I cannot say if it really works or not but it should.

You probably need a mod that will enable townie/customer to use the showers.  Squinge did make that mod, without it townie will never use them on community lot.

The only place they use it is in University dorms.

I think there is a mod that makes the computer usable on business lot over at modthesims2, I will try to find it for you.
