brat1083 if you are talking about Rufus he is no Puppy he is full grown adult, the one thing you can not do is have twojack russells in the same house you are asking for troubles, but still he is a very loving Dogvjust like Louger

hehe  Try having four...  We do have to keep them separated 2x2 90% of the time, though.  Once the hellos and novelty of being together wears off, pecking order and property rights start to get in their heads...

Thank you so much for helping me out with that Roerzman I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't have helped me Embarrassed so it would just be best if I took the old ram sticks out and buy 2 GB of RAM 1 GB of ram a stick okay thanks for letting me know that because knowing me I would probably just get one GB and keep the other one in there but I will discard both of them and buy 2 GB's thanks again hon

Don't toss them out completely...  If you know they are good, an extra stick or two of memory are very useful if you need to diagnose a computer problem in the future.

Quote from: Roerzrman
Sims 2 is a true adult game (take no notice of those idiots at tsr. insisting that it's a teen game). I believe it was the adult mods that made the game and contributed hugely to its popularity.

So true. Also, the Sims 3 will have various shaped Sims, but will they look like the fantastic muscle men like SBB (Slim Body Builder) and Huge BB like Beosboxboy created, or busty, well developed hips and behind like Warlok, DL Muslow, Frannie and the shapes by other creaters? Undoubtedly they'll be barbie sims, but will the Sims 3 allow for creators to make them anatomically correct?

No way in the world would it keep my interest if they don't have the above. If they have good sense and want keep half of their consumers - the half over 18 with purchasing power to buy the games for themselves - they'll hire Beos, Warlok, DL Muslow, etc and pay them well to make the game appealing to adults with their great body shaping talents. I hope they read this and take the advice to heart.

The way I interpret the EULA, that would be a no no.

I'd love to take their EULA and re-write it, then check the box and send them a copy of what I agree to...  You know...like a real legal document.

I will give this much to Microsoft. They are certainly in touch with the currant economic situation, no hardware upgrades are required for Windows 7. I f it can run xp it'll fly with win. 7.
150$ for a graphics card? here in good old Aus. you pay around 400$ for a mid range and up tp 1000$+ for a high end card. More that than cost of a low end pc.

Well, I really wasn't going to say anything more, but I really finally got [how to say] what was so annoying about it.  No one NEEDED Vista.  There was nothing that Vista did that couldn't be done with XP.  And that's it.  Why spend for the OS AND new hardware?  A better looking interface isn't worth it.  And therein lies my lack of enthusiasm for Sims 3 as well.  Well, my hardware will run it fine (with the minor exception of my geForce 7100 not being supported, but meeting requirements) but what do I have to gain besides shiny-new and not necessarily better packaging?

SO unfair lol..i don't know what it is but my sims get burgled all the dang time..likee verytime i turn around my big tv or my nice car even my FREAKIN BED is getting swiped..my sims must be crime magnets or sumthin..wish i could get a break..even with the burgler alarm..they may get caught..but they still show up tryin to take stuff..then the stupid cop doesnt even give me my stuff back cause its 'evidence' bleh..lol..and for furture reference..you CAN NOT hit on the burglar...unledd my sim is doin sumthin wrong..shes me umm..'popular' sim as well  Evil well anyhoo thats my thing..i need some BURGALAR be-gones...but then again..i'v grown accustomed to his face..hehehehe

In my game it's pretty easy to hit on the burgler.  You just have to wait until the furious subsides.  Then build up enough to invite them over and of course make sure the cow-plant hasn't been fed...

Of course, on the other hand, one of my characters got a female burgler and proceeded to totally seduce her, AND the female cop that showed up all within 2 1/2 sim days w/o cheating (except no jealousy but I don't think that was an issue).  It was a proud moment...  Especially when the burgler gifted my girl for a dream date.

And the same goes for the latest games, hardware update$, a never ending cycle of expensive updates.

That's one of the reasons I don't buy "the latest" games.  Once was all it took for me to simply not buy a game if my computer wouldn't run it.  Spending $150 on a new video card to run a $50 game just doesn't make any sense to me.  The same goes for Vista.  Maybe EAxis should release a full demo like M$ did with 7.  Pretend I didn't say that.  I don't need to be doing their jobs for them...

I resent all the fuss that people are making about Vista. As a long-time windows user, I love Vista. I've had absolutely no problem with it, and it's an incredibly smooth OS. Just buy Vista ultimate (or whatever the newest version is) and/or get yourself a better graphics card. As someone who plays at least ONE computer game, you should really be using better technology. Buying a better video card is an inexpensive way to boost your old PC, and it's easy to install. come on, people!

I agree with you so much! I dont know what all the fuss is about vista! I think its easier to use. xp was fine but there is so much more that vista does for you. it tells you when you are making changes and it lets you know when and what is going on with your pc. if anything i believed that with xp i got more viruses and infections, with vista it cleans it all up for you. I have windows live one care and i love the back ups it does for you b/c i delete things on accident all the time. say what you want about vista, its better than xp!

Vista is more secure than XP.  Most people who have problems with it are people who had existing hardware and software that would not work on Vista.  Having to buy hardware to run a OS sucks, period.  Yeah, if you bought a laptop with Vista on it, chances are it would work great, since they would have probably loaded drivers and programs that worked in Vista or set up any compatibilities that they needed to.  Some problems were actually 32-bit to 64-bit problems, though.  Also users who already pretty much know what's going on with there computers and don't need settings and files locked away didn't care for those 'features'.  Windows 7 is, for me at least, what Vista should have been when it came out.  Yeah, it's annoying to have to learn how to change it to the way I want it, but hey, change comes wether you like it or not.  BTW I'm using x86 Windows 7 because there aren't drivers to be found for my printer in x64, but it's about time I look again, since I did download both betas.

Well, just having finished reading all I can say is that you need to be the better person here.  There will always be hippocrites and bullies online.  I particularly liked them calling you a troll for responding to *their* 'attacks', and threatening to ban you.  Also, calling someone a kid or childish or whiney is generally compensation for an insecurity just like their bullying was in the first place.  Basically, if someone can't criticize you to your face they are a coward and for them to threaten you for your response proves it.  BTW, I'm a Sailor Moon fan (have ALL the episodes and Manga) and have some of your stuff...

Hi all,

Yesterday while brownsing online i've discovered a site known as the garden of shadows making fun about our sites calling it worst sims 2 sites.Lots of creations on there have been targeted mine included.
Have a look here http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=11342.0
to see how it started and here:http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=22.11310
for others insim members creations subjects to their harsh critics if these are real critics. But be warned, the comments are pretty offending. In my opinion these were heartless, cruel comments but to them these were just opinions. You don't have to cruel, insensitive to say you don't like other people stuff.
Well no question that any of them understood where i'm coming from since I critiziced their site so they all jump on me calling me a kid and moaning. So now i can't even defend myself, have to let them insult me?Well dream on.I wouldn't be moaning in the fisrt place if they hadn't started this sick thread.Even the owner didn't see anything wrong in the comments of her members.Well she has to stick up with her members isn't she?

I don't want to play their game and bitch other people creations. And I don't think the admin would agree for us to have a shot at theirs creations. We won't bow down to their level.I just thought our sites should know about them. After all since we are being judged we should know and have a say in this.
26  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: I am horrible at building houses.. on: April 08, 2009, 02:22:44 pm
nothing wrong with big squares. my worse ones are always big and sprawling. they look like freakin' warehouses. i have one i really want to tear down right now, but i also don't want to bother. it is way too big and flat, though. i built in a hurry for no good reason months ago and i don't even play those sims anymore, but every time i see it neighborhood view it hurts my soul. one of these days i'm going to destroy it.

There's a trick to fixing a house like that.   Take the roof off, arrange the furniture in the rooms toward the center leaving just enough room to get around easily.  Now, just tear down the  outside walls and move them in around the outside of the furniture.  If you have two stories, do this to the first floor first, then match up the second floor as best you can.  If there are overhangs, it's not a big deal.  Many modern houses have that type of modular-looking style...just throw a flat roof on top or maybe a roof patio and you're set.

Here's a link to an album of "The Momma" and her puppies.  We ended up keeping Brie (ours) and Colby (my wife's parents'), but see Monte/Simon at shows (he got multiple reserve champion at Nationals, including Best-in-Show pup!).

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=380826974&albumId=1058159

I will have to post some new pics soon.  The pups are all growed up now...  And I have a self-sim-puppy of Brie I'll have to post.

*Pokes VampyrMuffinMan* Psst, I think you posted this in the wrong thread.  Wink

I didn't...  I didn't even have this thread open.  Oh well.  BTW, very pretty.
