Title: Water effect - Request Post by: XPTL297 on March 23, 2009, 05:42:07 am Could someone please teach me how to include water effect (movements) on an object?
I know that there's something to do with the Material Definition (TXMT) but I still couldn't get it. Does it have to be changed in the original mesh or can it be done on a simple recolor? I'm using a combination of an object created by someone signed SNW (the object is named Deep Surfaces) and Inge Jones Beach Portal for non-beach lots. It works perfectly in Base Game/AL, but is a little bit "flat". I would like to have "real" water in it. Thanks, xptl Title: Re: Water effect - Request Post by: caffeinated.joy on March 25, 2009, 11:41:46 am I moved this to mesh help section for you :) You'll probably get more people who can help you seeing it here. Good luck!

If anyone else is interested - it works on a simple recolor and yes, it is just a modification in the Material Definition. Thanks for the attention. But like you already discovered, in the txmt you can add some reflection to the txt files with the envcube and/or you can even make animated textures with it.(clone the pinball machine or the monitors from the operation table and you will see wat i mean.) Title: Re: Water effect - Request Post by: XPTL297 on March 28, 2009, 05:31:35 am Thanks Bloom! I'm messing around with everything and having lots of fun. I got a sort of creepy movement on the mesh object I used and so far I'm not quite disappointed. Of course I'm going to take a look in the pinball machine to learn a little more.
Today I'm troubled with another "water effect", but this time it deals on aquaria. I'm going to open a new topic to see if I get some help. see ya! |
