Title: Recoloring/Converting clothes for Rengal multialpha meshes
Post by: nikkidanielle on May 18, 2010, 10:19:21 pm
Hello!

I have been trying to convert/recolor clothes for rengal multialpha but I always get gaps when it comes to the pants and skirts. I've tried to move the textures, resize them, and everything else but I can't get rid of  the gaps in terms of the textures don't fit the mesh. I would love to give you pics but I can't log on my laptop right now.

You prolly mean the gaps on the side of her hips when trying to put a default texture on the mesh?
The legs/butt and hips are pretty large with the rengal and making meshes bigger gives you stretched textures.(like with larger boobies)

I wanted the mesh to be perfect(no stretched textures on the hips) so i adjusted the uvmap.
Unfortunate this means that the maxis textures will not fit on that area, you need to adjust those.
Have a look at the uvmap and the templates i made for it:

Looking at the them right now i think i know wat your problem is.
Altho i did update the uvmap for the skirt, i dont think i did the same for the pants.(i added those later)
But they do match the skirt and top at the seam.
There are 4 uvmaps, check em out and use them. :)

You are not the first that had problems with recoloring that mesh, after that one i stopped updating the uvmaps to make it easier for skinners.

Awesome! I think it was the pants that was giving me problems. I'll give it a try. Thanks ;D
