4/24/06 I fixed the problem with young adults aging for no reason also I added a new option to the cake to set the college clock to 2 hours before final exam. With my test using the semester tester I was able to graduate & even got the diploma but I had to use another sim & click end class to get the sim to exit the final exam. I also noticed that my sim got the memory never went to college so you will have to download that fix again until I can fix that in a future version. Thanks for the update! I will go check it out

In order for the college timer/clock to work (so they can move on to each semester and eventually graduate) you have to use the Semester Tester.
You click on it and select "start class." This does not start just their specific class that they attend, but the entire college timer. The time stops when you select "end class", and can be resumed at any time. "Go to class" will come up on it's own, and they will gain credit for going. To change majors, select "College" and then select a major, or you can use the Education adjuster from the InSIMenator. If you do this in the middle of the semester, it will reset the "hours until final" back to 72 hours. "Go to final exam" showed up a little late, but the option to send to final by clicking on the sim (College.../Go To Final Exam) was there at the correct time. When they return from their finals, they will have completed the first semester and move on to the next. If the student makes the Dean's list, the money will go into the household.
The Semester Tester is available by typing "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" in the cheat console. Shift+click on the sim and select "Spawn.../Semester Tester" It looks like the big apple sculpture. There is a downloadable version at MTS2, also.
Hope this helps!
Thanks, Squinge, for this awesome mod!
Interesting thing I noticed since posting. Partway through the second semester she was unable to go to class. She would leave the lot and immediately return. I still made her work her grade up and when finals came again the same thing happened at one hour before final exam. The notice for her to go shows up at the time it is supposed to start (0 hours before final), and she ran off to the exam, and returned immediately, but she passed the finals anyway and moved on to her sophomore year, got the extra slots and everything - so I suppose it isn't that bad, but I thought that might interest you.

*stares at Nec's post* Huh? BTW, I love your avi!!!! What do you mean by "huh?" Lost me there and thanks! Just in case this is what you mean: clock=hours until final where the aging bar normally is. Will test the finals thing today. Been busy with other stuff. EDIT: I put complete instructions in the College interactions on any lot thread HERE

You can use inSIMenator's Education Adjuster to set "2 hours to finals" at any time. It's a great way to fast track through uni. I'm going to use that feature now to test to see if this mod will let them go to finals and ultimately graduate. Stay tuned......
EDIT: Ok, I checked. Unfortunately they can't go to finals becasue time does not actually progress for YAs living on home lots. Even if you use inSIM's Ed Adjuster to make it two hours until a final, the clock remains at two hours, and so the option to attend finals never comes up. back to you Squinge.
Hey, anymore popcorn around?...I'm feeling kinda peckish :tongue5: For the clock to go, all you need to do is either download the Semester Tester at MTS2 here, or spawn it in testingcheats by shift+clicking on the sim. Select "class start" and the clock will run. Select "class end" and the clock will stop. I haven't tested it with the updated version that allows them to go to class, as I haven't played enough since installing it, but I was able to get them through the first semester without the go to class option, but they stay at their finals indefinitely so I just graduated him and then moved him out. When I moved him into his new home he had all 6 slots, a graduated with honors memory, but no diploma. I will be testing this with the new version and the Semester Tester and post what I find if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Ok, it does work, with and without a cake. I have the school on any lot in, though...so I have no idea what happens without it as far as the job thing goes. He got promoted and his hours changed. No errors, no bugs thusfar. Edit: they do not age as young adults, so I suppose that is a plus if you never want them to mature. If they had the option to visit a Uni lot, they probably would...but they can't. I took out the school hack, and tried it without it, too.

Ailias, I am wondering...do you have mixed versions of the games? I know one of my versions is not the same region (i.e. English/Multilanguage), and I know that it can potentially cause crashing problems in Win2K and XP. I have not had crashing as a result of this, but that is the only other thing I can think of with this current problem.
Beosboxboy, thanks so much for taking all this time to try and figure it out. I have been trying everything, still. I really want to get to the bottom of this!

Yes! It works - only Maxis job can be assigned unfortunately. iwonder if create nonmuscle man - then assign job after settle him down - then put muscles on him - its a solution or not? I have found so far, that the easiest way to get them jobs is to change them into normal size clothing before telling them to look for a job. This way your bodybuilder Uni students can get jobs, too. You should also be able to have them get a custom career as well. I have not checked that because I don't use custom careers. Also, if you have one of your business owner sims hire one, you have to assign them a normal size uniform to change their wage. But then you can just assign them back into bodybuilder clothing. It is weird seeing them look like normal sims, but it works.
