Title: Always Perfect Enviromental Scores?
Post by: SimGirl20 on April 27, 2009, 01:22:36 am
Hi Squinge or Chaavik,

I have yet another request for either of you who would like to tackle this, okay I don't know about you but I can't stand it when I spend literally 'hours' and sometimes perhaps days furnishing beautiful homes with beautiful objects only to move my sims in to find that they don't like the rooms at all... I spent all this weekend furnishing the HGTV Dream Home of 2009 on MTS2 for my uber rich family the Richardson's (I know, I know I have no life ;)) but still I finished up the last room somewhere around 6 P.M. today and moved my family in and my female whom is the mother of the household and is a fortune aspiration sim through all of the rooms it seems like that her enviromental score is still in the yellow? which makes me mad because I refuse to refurnish the home just to please her..so I was wondering is there a hack out there or would you PLEASE consider making a hack for me Squinge or Chaavik that completley max's the enviroment score to full or possibly make it obsolete? so I won't have to worry about pleasing all my sims room scores? because I don't know about any of the rest of you, but that does bug me that they don't like what I do to their homes, and I made sure I had sufficient lighting and paintings and all that but still for some reason she hates almost all the rooms of the house especially the master bathroom (which I feel is the prettiest room of the house) :( please help me if you can

-Thank you for reading

P.S. latest EP is still AL

I already made a mod (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=7009) that allows you to keep the enviroment maxed.

Oh Yay I didn't even see this mod Squinge, I have a concern though could I use this mod without OFB because sadly I uninstalled that EP and more than likely will not be installing it again :( please do let me know before I download one and it causes problems thanks alot Squinge

also If I was to be able to download one without the need of OFB does this hacked painting max all rooms enviroment or would I have to have a painting in every room? :-\

You can use it without OFB & no you would just need one painting per lot.

The EP5 version will work.

Interesting mod that I didn't know about. Would be nice to just have the room score maxed out and not have OFB refresh options included. A little statuette or painting or even a plant will do the job.. Hmm.. Just like the garden gnomes/flamingoes that I have that max out the Needs on the lot.

I just saw this and wondered: "Why don't I know about these?"

*Hands Chaavik $5*

Any chance you can get me a link?

*swipes the $5 and runs away*

Hmm, didn't Jordi or someone from MATY do those? I'll have to go take a peek.

It is not really possible to directly modify the environment score, but it can be made so that sims simply do not care about the environment for better or worse, making the environment bar vestigial.

Wow, you're asking me to find the link to the original flamingos and gnomes that were modded 4 or 5 years ago..

I'll try to remember where I got them. When I do find it, I will post, but I can't guarantee they will still work for most EPs/SPs. It's a trial and error thing to see if they work or not.

Thanks for the clarification on room score, Pes.

**EDITED**

Found the flamingos. Gnohmon made a set of flamingos serving different purposes to be placed on lots. His is available in a post he made to the original flamingo thread by Blade90210 at MTS2 here (http://www.modthesims2.com/showpost.php?p=26300&postcount=14).

I don't know if he also did a set of gnomes, but I could be wrong. The flamingos were the ones I remembered the most and still have them.

Download at your own risk.

Pescado- I was really wanting a mod such as that to begin with, sort of like a mod to make the environment score obsolete/not needed or not visible  but I just thought that I would work with Squinges' mod for the time being until someone found or made a more powerful mod.

Jenna- It would be lovely if you could find us all a link to that mod you were talking about over at MATY although I looked in all there mod sections even the 'forgotten ones' lol and didn't see anything such as that but maybe I missed it?

Chaavik- Do you think you could make a mod that only alters the room score, just a simple hacked painting or plant like you were talking about? that'd be great... ;)

I thought I made an option for just the environment maybe I didn't upload that version, lol

Well it wasn't MATY, apparantly. I was thinking of something different I guess. Chaavik posted the link to the Flamingo of Contentment, which was one of the mods I was thinking of.

I just checked the EP5 version allows just enviroment without maxing all the other motives.

Actually, I did some searching myself and found a link on MATY to the "living it up" section in the Sims 2 Graveyard, which had all the flamingos.
