So I JUST got Apartment Life yesterday and all that good stuff. I went to download the patch on the sims 2 site, but when I go to open it and use it it won't work. It tells me that an error occurred and says that i'll have to uninstall and reinstall apartment life for it to work.

I've done that twice and it still won't work. Is there some issue with the patch that I don't know about or...what?

It's not starting at all. I don't know what the issue is, I've gone through all my CC to see if that was causing and issue but I couldn't find anything that would cause issues. When I click on the icon after putting the CD in, it's like it's starting up but the screen and all never actually pops up. I've restarted my computer at least twice so...I think I've tried about everything that I can think of. I'm starting to think that this game just doesn't like me.

Any ideas on what my issue might be?
