Title: Max for cc in Body Shop???
Post by: Missaldith on May 14, 2007, 06:25:46 am
Today I was about to open Body Shop and it kept telling me that application is crashed. Can there be just too much cc in Body Shop so it stops working??:smt104

CC will slow the program down, and the more you have, the slower it will run/load. Your computer specs will also have a hand in determining the amount it can handle. Having said that, I've never reached or found a limit the amount of cc I can have, but I assume there is one. Try cleaning out your cc of things you don't use anymore (hey, everyone can use a little spring cleaning now and then) and see if it helps.

Here's a few things to try:
Go to MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2 and delete groups.cache, cigen.package, and ContentRegistry.  Give Bodyshop a try.
If it still doesn't open, then go back to MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2 and move your SavedSims folder to your desktop, then try again.  Once you're done with Bodyshop, move the contents of your SavedSims folder back into MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2, Bodyshop will have created another SavedSims folder there.
The SavedSims folder usually is the problem, unfortunately I don't know why. :(

Here's a link to some useful BodyShop information:

I hope this helps, I love the Sims you upload here on Insim.  :daisy:

Thank you very much and thanks for the kind word, too veash.

That helped. It works fine again. Glad I did not reinstall all my games. A rose for you from me.
