1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / custom content not showing on: September 05, 2008, 10:19:40 am
You don't need to wait for the screen, you can find it yourself.  Have you ever changed around your in game settings, such as photo-quality settings, graphics settings, or Lot View options?  You can find the "Enable CC" dialogue box hidden among your in game settings Smiley  When you're in game click the three dots (that you click to get to "save" and "exit"), click the picture of the two gears (it will say "game options" when you hover over it), In upper right corner there should be s small box asking if you want to display the custom content dialogue box at startup.  But you don't need to enable and restart.  There's also a little splotch thing (that the game uses to mark custom content).  Click that and the box will appear right there.
2  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Apartment Life...Doesnt load if you have downloads? on: September 05, 2008, 10:00:27 am
I am playing with downloads, including (compatible) hacks, and I assure you it works.  Glitches are most commonly caused by content that is *not* compatible.  Stuff like clothes, furniture etc, you wouldn't need to worry about.  If you have left your hacks in, check for any updates.  If any are listed as not being compatible, remove them until an update is made.  If you can't find this information on zny other hacks you may have, test them yourself.

how would i place a bunch of the candles on a table, what cheat would i use for that?

Not a cheat.  You use those "one more slot" thingies.  they are these invisible shevles that you can place anywhere, at many different heights.  You're able to make tables, endtables, counters or whatever look cluttered if you wish...

They have different sets of them at MTs2 and TSR, that I have seen
4  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / WEDDINGS? on: September 04, 2008, 10:41:38 pm
You can have weddings on community lots Smiley  Place everything you want for the wedding on the lot before you go there, and bring your geusts as an outing (If you have nightlife)

I have also done weddings at beach homes, while on vacation.

DraculaBiscuts:  I love the brides dress you used in the first pics Smiley  Where did you get it?  Also, I recently had a wedding with those same candles!  See:

The wedding was in Twiki Island, I had to use the summoner (In InSim) to teleport all the geusts there, then the couple proceeded with their honeymoon Smiley

A couple nice witch pictures:

She's in front of the good witches castle.  She wasn't casting a spell, witches will autonomously play with their wand.

The witch donned out in witch clothes is the main good witch, my sim is the one pointing her wand at her.

I never understood the problem with witches in video games, or stories.  The witches portrayed in games, and folklore are very very different from witches as explained in the bible.  Wicca and paganism is different from this as well.  I saw a fair few girls dressed as witches at my church's Halloween party last year, and I would bet I'll see plenty this year as well.  Plenty of Christians can see the difference.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Do you think sims need to lose weight? on: September 03, 2008, 10:37:00 pm

Not at all. I love all the different shapes. If anything I think they need to be more curvy. If it wasn't for Warlokk and Marvin/Yakov I don't even think I'd be playing the sims. <333

I agree on the more curvy.  I think the default sims shape is actually quite thin.  But I don't think sims need to loose or gain weight in general, I think there needs to be more variety without having special meshes.  That's one thing in Sims 3 I think looks great

^Where'd you get that oufit? It's awesome.

Exnems. Smiley  It's a maternity, there's a whole set of them in the free section.  They came from a mesh at SimChic.  The original one from SimChic is quite cute too
