Title: cant get world adventures to launch !!! Post by: simpleprincess on January 28, 2010, 02:40:10 pm Arghh its driving me mad [ I couldnt find my sims 3 disk so i copyed the exe to enable play without the disc]
I have a disc of world adventures though if this helps. I keep getting this message error: unable to start to game The version of the game you are running is imcompatiable with your user data?? please update your game via that launcher its ticking me right off ive done nothing wrong the launcher says im updated yet im still getting this message!! im getting very frustrated with it all. I own legal copies of both games so why wont it run??? why is the expansion forcing me to use the launcher ?? I tried launching via the exe and it still wont work do I need to look hard around the house for the sims 3 disc that I managed to misplace? just I was too lazy and it was more convienant to to use a way to start the game without a disc. should I replace the world adventures exe too in the same way to make it work?? You've been a member here for some time, so this is something you should be aware of. You'll have to find your disk. From what I know, copying the .exe will only allow you to bypass the launcher to play.
