Title: wan tto remove insimenator-please help Post by: nuboobaby on January 28, 2009, 02:21:27 am I've been trying to remove the insimenator, but I'v e uninstalled the files I read somewhere ..(dont' ask me where) that needed to be uninstalled. But when i go back into the game the insim items are still ther and still work. ANy help with tihs? I'd just like to go back to using cheats instead.

Take the file out of your My Documents--EA Games--The Sims 2--Downloads folder. If it still shows up in the game after that, then you have a duplicate(s) of the file and must take that/those out of that same folder. Or you may have inadvertantly put the Insimenator file into another game folder (where it doesn't belong in any circumstance) -- should that be the case, remove it from there. Most of the times I've found the duplicates they had a hexdecimal name rather than the actual name of the file.

InSIMenator (UV) v2.9 DEST Edition.package.(I kept it in a folder on my desktop). I wonder if there were others files I needto remove? Love the advatar by the way.
