Title: question about the game?
Post by: JacobM on March 21, 2009, 09:14:05 pm
alright, so let's say you have your neighbourhoods, custom and maxis made, and you have your sims that you made, and houses/community lots you made in them. if you made a backup of your whole sims 2 folder, and then maybe had the game on another computer and just put that sims 2 folder in the other computers EA games folder, will the neighbourhoods all be the same? will you still have the houses/community lots you made, and your sims characters?

thanks.  :p

Provided that:

1) You don't have any special content in your game which goes into Program Files--EA Games as opposed to then My Documents--EA Games-- The Sims 2 folder

2) Both computers have the same assortment of EPs/SPs already installed (and, of course, that both computers are capable of running that assortment of EPs/SPs)

3) You delete any existing My Douments--EA Games--The Sims 2 folder completely on the second computer before moving (or copying) that folder from the first computer to the second computer

then the answer is yes.
