the ones on rosesims don't work for kids. The hippo is probably at MTS2 or GoS (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?board=49.0) somewhere. One version of the giraffe is here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=271759) (there are several versions, in different sizes).
Hearing aid - I've made one for all ages (http://moonlightdragon.freeforums.org/cochlear-ear-implant-t299.html). (registering and log in required to see downloads) I'm thinking about making crutches for children and up, and if I do manage that, I'll probably post them in the accessory downloads at my site.
